Language-

Introduction of letter ‘b’ through magic box and song—-“b” ‘b” bunny likes to bounce the basketball,(3), a big brown basket ball.

Balloon play : Learners were introduced to the letter ‘b’ through balloon play! They first observed blowing of balloons, then each learner was given their own balloon. They all played with their balloon by bouncing it. Further on they enjoyed bursting the same balloon!! This way they were introduced to newer vocabulary like blowing, bouncing and bursting which all start with letter ‘b’.

Introduction of DEAR time & teacher explained how to take care of the books and about turning pages ,later  students explored different books

Guided Play- Learners were asked to stand in a circle thereafter teacher  threw the ball which learners had to  catch and bounce the same ball and say an object with letter ‘b’ along with the sound of letter ‘b’

Revision: Estimation of number 1-5 through object flash cards,finger,dominoes,dominoes in ten frames

Guided Play:- There were 8 laminated cut outs of different animals with some circles on the sheet  was displayed on the wall.Each student was asked to roll a dice, count the dominoes on the dice  and stick those number of clay balls in the circles.

Grade 11 Biology highlights

Grade 11 Biology highlights

Grade 11 Biology students were introduced to the subject guide, assessments and command terms. We started with unit 1 Cell biology. The students watched video and recalled the cell theory which they had learnt. Later,we talked on details of this theory with it’s history. They learnt how to calculate magnification or actual size of an organism or organelle using electron micrograph. The first experiment of biology was conducted where they were taught how to use microscope and eyepiece graticule to find the actual size of specimen on a slide.The H.W. is posted on google classroom.

Grade12 Biology highlights

Grade 12 Biology students completed the topic of digestion. They studied the mechanism of peristalsis and the muscles involved in it. They studied small intestine in detail and were introduced to two model systems which are Dynamic gastric model inspired by stomach and dialysis by kidney and osmosis. They have been given homework on lactose intolerance for further discussion on TOK. We have now started with blood system. Students were curious to see dissection video of heart.

Dear Parents,

In this week, we continued with:

1) Fractions and decimals which was explained through few examples. Students were explained about the conversion from fractions to decimals and changing a decimal to fraction.

2) Unit Test papers were distributed and doubts in unit test paper were catered and cleared.

3) Then we started with new topic ‘Ordering fractions’ wherein students were explained about equivalent fractions and comparing and ordering fractions. Students did the exercise for the same in the class and answers were cross-checked and doubts were made clear.

4) Also students were given the Booklet Worksheet of Fractions, Decimals and Percentages and H.W was given and answers were cross-checked in the class and doubts were made clear.

  2. Competition is at P P Savani Abrama School on 21st July 2015.
  3. All selected students have to come in the morning route and they will leave from school for the competition.
  4. If competition starts according to the schedule students will be back to home by their regular bus route if not than school will inform parents about the delay.
  5. Students have to bring extra and appropriate(no unhealthy food) food for themselves. School will provide bananas and lemonade to students.

1) Complete exercise 10.1A as well as 10.1B from Checkpoint book- 3 in your Math note-book along with proper steps. (Figures are needed to be drawn with pencil for each of the sums of both the exercises)

2) Resolve the whole unit test paper if you have scored below 20. (Those who have scored above 20, will have to do only those sums where they have lost marks.)

3) You need to complete the exercise of Khan academy, the link of which is posted on google classroom by Ruchita Maám.

5) Then we started with new topic ‘Calculating fractions of a quantity’ wherein students were explained with real life example and H.W has been given for the same.
