The following concepts of Mathematics were taught to students in past week:
1)Introducing Probability and probability scale:
Students were taken to Math lab and using Math components like probability disc and geo board students were asked to identify probability of an event written on disc and place the disc under right category.
The students made decisions on probability of an event and thereafter we had a
discussion where students were introduced to probability of an event(probability scale).
2)Awareness of probability terminologies like sample space,event,outcome,
certain,likely,unlikely,equally likely, compliment event etc..
3)Activity to introduce relative frequency:
Students were given an activity sheet andÃ‚Â dice. They were asked to follow activity instructions and obtain the result. Once the students finished the activity, using their results we introduced the topic of relative frequency and importance of number of trials.
4)Students were also introduced to methods like Listing, tree diagram and two way
table for representing multistage events
