Highlights and homework – G6 Conjecture – 27th July

UOI – Learners revised their understanding of governance, rights and responsibility and Government through the Think 1 and Think 2 Worksheet. Earlier, based on their prior knowledge they attempted Think-1 to answer the worksheet. Today post their inquiry, they have attempted Think 2 to revise their knowledge.

Math –  Learners practiced area and perimeter of composite shapes. They also learned about finding missing angles in a quadrilaterals.

Language – Learners discussed strategies to understand the reader. They also discussed summary of chapter 11 to 20.

Homework :

Math : Attempt the questions shared on mail for area and perimeter

Language : complete reading till chapter 21 and attempt the quiz.

UOI - Frayer’s Model- Learners reflected on their overall understanding about the unit keeping in mind the videos, read aloud , guest sessions and field-trips done.
 Math –  Learners solved a real life problem using the website ‘Flipkart.com’ in their maths class note book.
 Discussion of yesterday’s homework was done.
Language: Learners completed all the exercise after the chapter ‘The monster fancy dress’ from Empowering English Reference book.
Read aloud: Baby Bear’s Christmas
Language Development: Learners revised all the grammar concepts done so far through Language with Ease reference book.

Homework: 

Math:   Solve the given word problem in the Maths homework notebook. Write with proper statements.

You are in a market with your two friends, your mother gave you 500 Rs to spend all three of you eat ice-creams ,burgers,fruit drinks when one ice-cream is of 30 Rs, burger is of 25 Rs and fruit drink for Rs 15. Your mother has asked you to keep an account of the money spent and left with you.

Language: write any 5 homophones and make sentences for the same in E.E notebook.

Math:

Learners practiced bar graph.

UOI:

Learners were asked to reflect their overall understanding in terms of “organization”. They were given a graphic organizer named “Frayer’s Model” where they were asked to write the definition of an organization, characteristics of an organizer, example of organizations which has only endeavor and example of organizations which is only  enterprise.

 

UOI Integration with LEAP:

Learners had a huge discussion in the various groups and came up with the wide variety of solutions of the problem of school pantry.

The students reflected on their understanding of the unit through the worksheet
‘THINK 2’ and compared Think 1 and Think 2 to see the change in their
understanding.

Math:

Homework discussion. Students cleared their doubts.

Homework:

Write the reflection( draft) of the selected portfolio pieces in reflection book. (check the mail for more details)

Math: Do corrections of Ex. 18.1 and 18.2 in Geometry notebook.

UOI: Write the fundamental rights in detail in the given graphic organizer.(fingers and fist)

Think ideas for assembly as discussed in the class.

[Unit Of Inquiry]

Learners watched a video related to UNICEF and discussed the strategy for remembering the 6 fundamental rights along with a case study related to the same.

They were asked to brain storm the problems faced by the world and if there is anyone to look after such problems. They were introduced to UN and they had to answer the following questions related to UN orally in the class after watching the videos:
