Dear Ã‚Â Parents,

We have the first Open house scheduled onÃ‚Â 1st AugustÃ‚Â fromÃ‚Â 8 toÃ‚Â 9:30 am. Kindly note the following important points regarding it:

1. It is not compulsory to attend the open house. However, incase the HRT wants to meet you, she will inform you through the daily diary.

2. If you want to meet the HRT, you have to schedule an appointment with her for 10 Ã‚Â minutesÃ¢â‚¬â€œ through the daily diary specifying your time. No meeting will take place without a prior appointment.

3. Open house is specifically for meeting single subject teachers, whom you can meet without prior appointment.

Math

Learners solved a few addition and subtraction sums in their classwork notebook. They also practiced bar graph

Languge

Aural and oral: Learners did a listening activity to enhance their listening skills.

Learners were asked to describe the characters (Cut outs of people from the magazine) using different adjectives.

UOI

Formative assessment was conducted after a detailed revision.

Homework

Math- Solve the sums given.

Language- Submit the language worksheet given on day 2.

Highlights

Day 3

Language: Teacher shared facts of her life and learners made a mind map of the same in the language writing notebooks. Learners also referred to the teacherÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s time-line and bulletin board later to collect the facts for writing a biography.

Math: Learners revised the learnt concepts of number strands i.e multiplication, division number names, place value and expanded form upto 9 digitsÃ‚Â and divisibility rules by writing a formative assessment.

Settling task : Sums based on subtraction.

LANG :

Aural and oral: Learners did a listening activity to enhance their listening skills.

Learners were also introduced to descriptive writing. They were given exposure to wide range of adjectives which they can use in their writing piece. Later, teacher instructed them to describe their mother using relevant adjective in their writer’s notebook.

Homework :

Language Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Describe any 2 family members on the paper given to you use adjectives as we did in the class today use relevant adjective to enhance the description.

Dear Parents,

Lang: Discussed the question Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Ã¢â‚¬Å“What do you learn about what Ã¢â‚¬ËœreleaseÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ is? How do you feel? Does this change your opinion about the community. What do you now think about the community?Ã¢â‚¬Â orally in the class.

UOI– Ã‚Â Revision of all the topics covered was taken up in the class in the form of open
discussion.

Students were given the overview of the Summative Assessment task and the rubric
was shared with them to familiarize them with the criteria on which their
understanding will be assessed.

Maths– Formative assessment was taken. This was followed by a discussion and students self checked their work.

Homework: Maths-Ã‚Â Make corrections in notebook.

Lang:Learners need to answer the question in the giver journal as discussed in the class and attempt the quiz till chapter 23.

Math : Learners checked their learning through a worksheet of area and perimeter.

Language : Learners discussed the over all book The Giver. Ã‚Â We further discussed few aspects like :
