Syllabus – All the concepts that we have covered till now.

Students watched two videos which were based on the idea of knowing the cause and effect of conflict, be it on a personal level or global level. The videos raised many inquiries from learners. One of the inquiry was : “Why did US targeted Japan and not USSR, when USSR is it’s rival?”

They also identified the fact that when we end up in a conflict often we make it personal, making us lose sight of the objectives we pursued.

Math:-

Learners understood the concept of subtraction of integers using zero pair, revise KFC and as a class attempted word problem using number line

Language : Learners complete EE Language II part in the class.

Homework:-

UOI : Watch the videos discussed today in the class, note down the cause, effect and end using depth and complexity icons.

Math:-

Word Problem :

The temperature in Anchorage, Alaska was 8°F in the morning and dropped to -5°F in the evening. What is the difference between these temperatures?

Irene owes rupees 21 to her friend. She pays back Rupees 15. How much money does she still owe?

1.Solve the following questions:-

a) (-3)-(-4)

b)(-2)-(-5)

c)(-2)-(-6)

2. Find the new temperature for each of the following. You may use number line.

a)The temperature is -5 degrees Celsius and rises by 15 degrees Celsius.

b)The temperature is -8 degrees Celsius and rises by 12 degrees Celsius.

c)The temperature is -20 degrees Celsius and rises by 10 degrees Celsius.

d)The temperature is -3 degrees Celsius and rises by 8 degrees Celsius.

e)The temperature is 3 degrees Celsius and rises by 15 degrees Celsius.

f)The temperature is 3 degrees Celsius and falls by 15 degrees Celsius.

g)The temperature is 8 degrees Celsius and falls by 12 degrees Celsius.

h)The temperature is -4 degrees Celsius and falls by 5 degrees Celsius.

i)The temperature is -9 degrees Celsius and falls by 11 degrees Celsius.

j)The temperature is 5 degrees Celsius below zero and falls by 16 degrees Celsius.

We are pleased to inform you that we handed over Oxford Publication, IBDP, Mathematical Studies – SL , textbook to all students who ordered their copies and confirmed their stream. Students have already completed solving 7 (seven) exercise sets of problem so far from the unit – Number and Algebra.

Further, we request parents of new entrants to arrange resources of wards so that all students remains on the same page and pace of progress.

Students watched two videos which were based on the idea of knowing the cause and effect of conflict, be it on a personal level or global level. They responded to some questions like 1) what was the conflict here? 2) What was the cause? 3) what was the effect?

They also identified the fact that when we end up in a conflict often we make it personal, making us lose sight of the objectives we pursued.

We, as a class, solved some subtraction questions related to integers using jodo blocks and later on, some questions were given to students to solve in their math notebook.
