Language.

Introduction of letter ‘t’ was done by objects related to letter ‘t’ kept in the truck made of cardboard.

 

1.Teacher also introduced the ending and middle letter sound words like tent, trust, sat, rat, cat,mat, waist, rest, test, must,kitten, mitten, sitting, writing, etc .

  1. Teacher discussed about traffic lights and some basic traffic rules.

Teacher Introduced the symbol ‘’t’’ and formation of the letter in the air.

3.Teacher did the read aloud of the “t” book.

Literacy  center:-

Following centers were taken to reinforce letter “t” {tent, trust, sat, rat, cat,mat, waist, rest, test, must,kitten, mitten, sitting, writing} using the flashcards and objects.

Learning Centers:                   

1: Brush painting on the picture of tooth.

2: paper sticking on traffic light.

3: letter ‘t’ worksheet.

4: letter clipping (associating the letter with its objects).

5: Finger tracing & putting clay on the letters (s & t).

Math

  • Introduction of sorting by shapes through shape story.
  • Sorting of rangometry shapes through game.

 

  • Introduction of number 2.
  • Worksheet on sorting shapes.

 

Learning Centers:

  1. Sorting of shapes through popsicle sticks
    2. Sorting of shapes through rangometry tiles
  2. Sorting through size ( big and small)
  3. Sorting of wooden stick and sponge (hard and soft)

Revision:

Revision of number 1 through a game.

 

  • Estimation of quantities from numbers 1-5 using flash cards ,fingers, dominos and dominos on ten frames.

Dear Parents,

Sneak peek into the week gone by:-

Literature:
Students were explained the explicit and implicit meaning of the text ‘The Gift of Magi’ by catering to components of a short story, setting and characters, language skills, and critical thinking skills

Language:
Students attempted various exercises from Checkpoint Workbook which helped them understand the usage of active and passive voice. Through this, they also understood verbs and tenses, while they also worked on building up their vocabulary for descriptive writing.

Checkpoint paper
Students learned the contextual meaning, usage of punctuation, writing precise answers, different forms of the same verb while further attempting checkpoint paper.

Bookclub
Students presented the books read in the past month in their respective book circle.

Dear Parents & Students,
Highlights of the week :
This week in our Hindi classes we discussed about ‘Kabir das ji’ . teacher explained some Dohas. students did an activity in which lines of dohas were given which they arranged and pasted on charts . The session of Kabir das was very interactive and fruitful as students got to know about the moral values.
We also discussed about summative assessment of unit:- “Story telling “.
There are two choices which are given to students and they have to select one :-

1)Read Aloud a story

OR
2) Role play

Students will prepare in two slots and get approval from the teacher.
. Summative assessment will be taken in next week as students get prepared.

NOTE:- If you have chosen role play then make sure that you will be present on the day of assessment .
Assessment dates will be announced in google classroom.
