Literature and Language Event Announcement: Monologues

Literature and Language Event Announcement: Monologues

“To bait fish withal: if it will feed nothing else,
it will feed my revenge. He hath disgraced me, and
hindered me half a million; laughed at my losses,
mocked at my gains, scorned my nation, thwarted my
bargains, cooled my friends, heated mine
enemies; and what’s his reason? I am a Jew. Hath
not a Jew eyes? hath not a Jew hands, organs,
dimensions, senses, affections, passions? “
Shylock- Merchant of venice (William Shakespeare)

Dear students,

This monologue and the emotions felt by the character are not unfamiliar to most of you. However, on paper, these are only words.

We invite you to breathe life into these words and fill the Amphitheater with the waves of your voice. You can also bring a prop that you think defines a certain character or emotions you wish to project.

Your participation in this event will not only accentuate your extra-curricular engagement but will be helpful in projection of your interpretation of the monologue. You can choose the manner in which you wish to speak the monologue, the tone you use and the mood you create will only make the audience think and applaud the effort you put in.

SO send in your participation through the participation form.
Date: 3rd August, 2016
Venue: Anfiteatro
Time: 3:10 pm -4:30
Regards,
Vagisha
Grade 5 Highlights – Celebration of Heritage Food Day

Grade 5 Highlights – Celebration of Heritage Food Day

Under the Well Being unit students watched the Indian Food Wisdom video by Rujuta Diwekar. The video described the importance and benefits of Traditional Indian food. In order to support the same students of grade 5 relished traditional Indian food today and celebrated the Heritage Food Day. Students discussed the importance of these traditional food items and also concluded that they taste better and are healthier compared to the western food they normally eat.

The teachers of grade 5 would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents for providing their immense support by sending these dishes with your children and making them aware of their heritage.

Few glimpses of the same:
