Hello parents,

In this week, we discussed the IA assessment criteria for Term 1. Students were grouped and were asked to research about a topic where they could show the integration of physics, chemistry and biology. Revision of the ‘movement in and out of cell’ topic was done. Lastly, unit of enzyme was introduced.

Hello parents,

In this week, we talked about multicellular organisms, gene-expressions and stem-cells. Students discussed about therapeutic usage of stem-cells. Then, we studied about electron-microscope. We discussed the limitation of human-eye and light microscope. Also, how electron microscope is capable to giving better resolutions was studied. Lastly, the students were introduced to the terms, prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

Explorers of Grade 4- Tenacity at Kevdi..

Learners visited Kevdi, a tranquil, lush green location a couple of hours drive away from Surat to be assessed on their learning pertaining to “Exploration.” They got hands-on experience of the exploration process. The enthusiasm level in the students was conspicuous. They were courageous enough to go in the bushes to find the treasure,explore the place and complete the task effectively. They displayed the social and self- management skills effectively by taking care of themselves and their peers. The photographs appended will give the glimpses of their exploration visit.

BM G12 Updates for the Week

BM G12 Updates for the Week

Grade 12 completed the Finance Unit this week with the completion of Budgets. The meaning, need and types of budgets. The students also did an activity related to budgets where the students were divided into 4 groups. The first group explored the question ‘Budgets hinder innovation’, the second group explored the question,’Budgets foster innovation’, the third group made a budget for Nestle and the fourth group made a budget for Cadbury. The activity gave a sense of real life application of budgets to the students. The Operations Unit was also started and Lean production methods and TQM was discussed in detail.
