Homework in detail

1.The students have to think that they have a pet-shop and they want to invite people to come to their pet-shop. So, for doing this, the students have to  divide the sheet into 3 parts and  will make a mind-map of pet-shop describing the pets they have in their shop. Now, using these describing words(adjectives) they will write the descriptive paragraph. Afterwards, they will highlight the key idea and use them to create an impressive advertisement.

Dear Parents,

We completed the topic “help and support of enterprise” and we also started new topic “Communicating with other people” in which we covered the following points:

  • Advantages and disadvantages of different types of communication
  • Language to be used
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders

Next week we will continue the same topic.

Dear Parents,

Here’s what we did this week:

  1. Cross-checking of weekend H.W given. Doubts were made clear to the students.
  2. Further students were taught about the concept ‘Percentage’ in detail.
  3. Students could convert from percentage to fractions or decimals and vice-versa.
  4. Then we started with a new topic “Expressing one quantity as a percentage of another” with real life situation based examples. Students did few sums from the reference book in the class and that were cross-checked.  Doubts were catered and made clear to them.
  5. Students could solve varied questions and word problems related to percentage, fractions and decimals.
  6. Weekend H.W has been given in Fractions, Decimals and Percentage Booklet for their practice.

Grade 9_Economics_Highlights of the week

Dear Parents,

Students were given practice questions on topic “demand, supply and equilibrium”. They learned about impact of taxes, externalities, costs and benefits to society with lot of examples. They emphasized on how the decisions of firms can affect others(producers, consumers, government).

Next week we will cover government intervention and market failure.
