Dear parents,

This week we had a guest lecture for the unit role of editing in the first two slots. In the last one, we talked about the FoA and CWT.

The syllabus for the term exam was posted earlier this week. Students are encouraged to rewrite answers to texts that they have already worked on as practice.

Students had four sessions during this week. The movie – Dead Poets Society took up three slots. In the fourth slot, they solved a comprehension worksheet where they read a passage and understood contextual meanings. This was done to enhance their comprehension skills and develop their vocabulary.

Homework for the weekend:

Imagine you are Todd Anderson. You are asked to address your classmates during your convocation.

Write the words of your talk to the classmates.

In your talk you should:

  • Include what you learned from Mr. Keating during his brief period at the college.
  • Talk about your views on traditional learning vs. innovative learning
  • Also, mention a few key points about your friends and what impact they had on you.  Base your talk on what you have seen in in the movie. Be careful to use your own words.

Warm Regards,

Pinky Chawla
