Dear Students,

This is to inform you that, we have scheduled an assembly for Senior School Students (grade wise).
 
Date: 27th October 2016
Grade: 11 & 12
Venue: Rendezvous
Timings: 9:00 am to 9:15 am.
 
As soon as you get down from the bus, you are required to be seated in the Rendezvous, where placards are placed with your grade and section name.
Also note that on 27th October 2016, exam timings for Grade 12 will be from 9:30 am.

Dear Students,

You need to reach your respective venues (venues were mentioned in the last blog-post) by 09:00 AM sharp and settle down as per your invigilator’s instructions by 09:05 AM. You do not require anything else except your fully charged chromebook.

Make sure you reach the venue on time so that your valuable exam time is not wasted.

Dear parents,

As you all are aware we have commenced our new unit Events in the previous week. The students will be planning their own events throughout this unit. I am very glad to inform you that the students will be first undergoing training to learn the skills for planning and execution through a guided event. The students have decided upon a Birthday Party as their event.  The event is to be held on Tuesday, 25th October, 2016. Now as this is a party, the  students have also decided upon different food items to be brought. The students will be allowed to bring junk food on the day of the event, even though it’s not allowed as we have taken permission from Ankita ma’am for the same. The following is the list for the food items.

Roll no 4, 10, 13, 19: Coco (2 litres each student)

 Roll no 9, 11, 14, 15: Veg Manchurian and chips (enough for 8 people each per student)

Roll no 1, 5, 12, 17: Cake {homemade and cream less} (500gms per each student)

Roll no 2,16, 18,20: Pasta (enough for 8 people each per each student)

Roll no. 3, 6, 7, 8: Pizza  (enough for 8 people each).

 

  • Note:-On that day students need not carry the first meal(tiffin).
  • These items have been chosen by the students and have been allocated accordingly. Request to ensure and send the allocated food item in its mentioned quantity for smooth functioning of the event.

Important: Note for SS Examination

Important: Note for SS Examination

Dear Students,

Please take note of below points for SS Examination. This is applicable from tomorrow (25th October 2016) itself.
Consequences of misconduct during the examination for students
1) A warning will be given to the whole class if the student/s is found talking or disturbing the class after the start of the examination.
2) After the warning, if the student is still found talking in the class, then 5 marks will be deducted from the subject paper student is appearing for.
3) If student is found second time talking in the class after step 1 and 2 are informed, then student will be marked “Fail” in that subject paper examination. The student has to immediately leave the examination hall. The incident will be added as comment in the Term report.
4) The above consequence of “Fail” will also be applied if the student is carrying a subject textbook/ notebook/ chit / unauthorized material in the examination hall. This incident will be added as comment in the Term report.
5) The above consequence of “Fail” will also be applied if the student is arguing with the invigilator on instructions or warning being given in the examination hall. This incident will be added as comment in the Term report.
6) A report of the incident of academic misconduct with the evidence will be made by the invigilator in consultation with the SSLT (MYPC, DPC & Vice Principal) members. The student will have to sign the report to acknowledge the misconduct and the consequences as mentioned above, shall be implemented.
Instructions for students for examination
1) Students are only allowed to bring transparent bottles, transparent pencil boxes and transparent writing pads. (applicable to all grades)
2) GDC covers are not allowed in the examination hall (Grade 9 to 12).
3) Students need to keep their bags outside the examination wing. They are not allowed to keep it outside their examination classrooms. Students pockets will be checked by invigilator / didi / bhaiya before they enter the examination wing.
4) Students cannot carry any material in the examination hall other than the required stationery.

  1. The teacher revised the inquiry cycle with the students focussing on all the elements of PYP. The reflection of the game played during PE slot was also taken using Graphic Organizer.
  2. LOI: Challenges and rewards of team work:  Students played games with their parents and enhanced their social skills

Math ——

  1. The students learned to solve real life word problems related to time.

Homework:

Practise different word problems,(4 for each ) clock and calendar and simple word problems.

Math – Learners practiced making graph with skip counting.

U O I –  Learners  filled the pages of imagination booklet where they needed to make  a dress for the dance party and reflect too on their activity .They also drew what other animals they can see in the sea with the help of a worksheet.

Day 2, Monday.

UOI: Learners gave reflection of the movie,’Alice in wonderland’. Later, Sea divers drawing was done.

Math:  Teacher role modeled how to represent graph on the graph paper using skip count of 5, using the  data of preferred food items of canteen and same was copied by learners in the graph paper given to them.

Read aloud was conducted.
