Math:

  1. The teacher and students were involved in the process of framing a Problem Statement, collecting data to solve that problem, recording data collected, organizing the same data in the form of Bar Graph and interpreting it to reach a conclusion.
  2. The students understood the importance of deciding upon the Population and Sample size while collecting data. They were given a problem and were asked to follow the whole process and reach a conclusion.

Language:

  1. Contractions were revised through a worksheet .
  2. Dictation was taken.

LD:

Week 11,day 5 and week end task was done.

ICT: Students learnt to make google slides

UOI:

  • The students  participated in making different food-chains online along with the teacher.

Day 5, Thursday

UOI: Learners visited Kirit bhai’s office and oberserved various machines. They came back to the class and reflected on the same.

MATH: Learners learnt how to do multiplication using Montero cubes. The teacher demonstrated 5 sums and then the student solved 1 by their own.

Highlights

UOI :- Students shared their experience of yesterday’s tuning in activity within their groups and answered the following questions individually:-

1. What is one key learning you take away from this exploration?

2. What common connection did you find across all the centers?

3. Why do you think we explored these centers?

They were provided with the Central Idea: We can influence people through expression of our views and opinions.

They then brainstormed about some relevant keywords for the new unit from the central idea, like influencing people, expression, thoughts, feelings, ways to express, media, perspective, etc.

They were provided with focussed Key concepts : Functions, Causation and Reflection. Further,  they brainstormed about lines of inquiry post understanding the identified key concepts.

Language:

Students used their descriptive picture of the Fairlyland given as homework yesterday, and wrote an interesting beginning to their story till the Editing step of the writing process.

Homework :

Language : Complete writing the beginning of your story till the editing step. Remember to mention the type of beginning used.

 

UOI :

1 ) The engagement you experienced in last two session were part of tuning in – Read the article(the article titled “TUNING IN“) and make connections.

2 ) Read the article on Finding out and annotate new learning (star),questions you have (?) and something you liked the most (Smiley).

Language:

To activate students’ Background Knowledge, an oral discussion of birds and snakes was taken up in the class.

U.O.I:

The students were shown a movie “The Lorax” and after that they were asked to write the positive and negative impact of human actions on the environment and animals.

We also had a session on building Self-esteem with the students.

Students have to complete the given worksheet on contractions where they have to re-write the complete sentences after using contractions.

Fun with Grandparents!!!

Fun with Grandparents!!!

Learners of Nursery Sky  had a funfilled day with their grandparents . They played games, clicked photographs  and did different activities with them. All of them had a memorable time together.

We would like to appreciate all the Nana, Nani’s and Dada, Dadi’s for taking out their valuable time and making our little ones feel so special.

UOI: The students were shown a movie “The Lorax” and after that they were asked to write the positive and negative impact of human actions on the environment and animals.

Language: The chapter ‘The Crows and the Snakes’ was read using the Comprehension Strategy ‘ Asking questions’. After each paragraph, the students were asked to  predict what would happen next. The questions and answers were also discussed in the class.

Math: The teacher and students were involved in the process of framing a Problem Statement, collecting data to solve that problem, recording data collected, organizing the same data in the form of Bar Graph and interpreting it to reach a conclusion.
