Grade 12 – Math HL – Highlights of the week

Dear parents,

This week students learnt the following concepts and how this concepts are applied to the real world :

(i) Distribution of data (normal and skewed)
(ii) Properties of Gaussian Curve (Normal distribution curve)
(iii) Impact of standard deviation and mean on Gaussian curve
(iv) Standardized normal distribution

Students solved all exercises of the above concepts from the Oxford book.

Grade 11 – Math HL – Highlights of the week

Dear parents,

The following concepts were taught from Probability unit :

(i) Bayes’ theorem and its applications
(ii) Introduction to randomness, random variable (discrete and continuous)
(iii) What is probability distribution and how is it useful in real world.

Students were given different puzzles which were solved with the concepts of conditional probability and Bayes’ theorem.
