Catch the star

Learners played one board game “Catch the star” in  pairs.Teacher provided two types of game. First game had numbers from 1 to 20 and the other one had numbers from 0 to 25. This game is a great way to practice and revise Math facts and it also helps to develop mental calculation skills.

Teacher provided a board game, two /three die and two different colour counters to each  pair. Students had to roll both the die and add both the numbers. After adding whatever answer comes he/she has to cover the number using the counter. The same was repeated by the partner. The important condition was that if the sum is repeated and the number is already covered than that person has to pass the dice to his/her partner and he missed his/her chance.

The winner of the game was the person who covers maximum counters. Students were very excited and played the game confidently and independently. Even they demonstrated the social skills like cooperating and respecting others.
