Nature camp – Jambughoda – Itinerary details

Nature camp – Jambughoda – Itinerary details

Dear Parents,

As a part of their curriculum students of Grade 3 will be going on an exploration trip to Jambughoda.

Jambughoda Wildlife Sanctuary, a mere 70 km from Vadodara, Gujarat is full of forests of teak and mahuda trees, bamboo, and other lush vegetation. Jambughoda is home to large populations of many kinds of wildlife. The leopard at the top of the food chain is the primary predator, and its numbers have been increasing recently. Other large wildlife include the wild boar, nilgai (blue bull, the largest antelope in Asia), jackal, hyena, barking deer, sloth bear, and chausingha(four-horned antelope).

Nature camps will take the students out of their comfort zones, and present to them an environment where they are forced to respond to challenges which develop their personal leadership muscle! They are forced to work with each other, develop empathy and understanding for the perspectives of others. And you know what the best part is, when students go to camps with an open mind, they also have a lot of fun! The camp location, facilities and activities are planned to provide such opportunities. So don’t expect luxury – expect a lot of mosquitoes and insects, tiring treks and challenges, basic food – because that’s the whole idea of the camp! Leadership is not going to be learnt in the comfort of your homes – but in the jungles and forests!!!

Important note for the parents

Important note for the parents

Dear Parent,

This note comes to you as a reminder for the second PTM  that is coming up on 17th December 2016. The agenda for the PTM is going to be slightly different for the Grade 6 parents.

As the students graduate from the PYP and move to the MYP in their educational journey, parents naturally want to know about the new programme before the new academic year begins and for this reason, we at Fountainhead School thought that the PTM would be the best opportunity for this orientation programme.

This PTM would be  a fantastic opportunity for you parents to understand the MYP apart from the Grade 6 term 2 curriculum sharing. The orientation programme will be conducted by the Middle Years Programme Coordinator and the Senior School Vice Principal.

We expect 100% attendance for this PTM, so that you have a broad idea of the MYP and that you will be able to guide/mentor your ward  to smoothen the transition from the PYP to the MYP .

Further details will be sent  in the coming week,

Looking forward to meeting all of you on 17th Dec.

Regards,

Zahabiyah Shaikhmahmood
