Here is the update of what we did last week in Math SL slots. Students were taught transformations of the Circular functions.
Students were taught Circular functions where in students were taught how to write a function when a graph is given and vice versa.
Modelling of Circular functions were also taught where in from the data given students came up with the equation of the function.
Based on this concept students were given enough practice in the class and rest of the part of the questions were given as homework.

This week students learnt about the different types of magnets and magnetic field lines around the magnet.Students updated about their progress in model making and presented their COS IA.
UOI: Learner took up the discussion to understand the cause of topic chosen by Kaushal for bringing change in water consumption at Fountainhead school.
Math: Learners used various material in order to represent the data creatively. It was the data they collected a day before.
Language: Students were introduced to a new genre called Persuasive writing under which they willÃ‚Â learn about how to persuade an audience to believe in their thought or point of view. They worked in their groups to persuadeÃ‚Â the teacher as well as their classmates to visit their favourite place for field trip.

Math : Complete Math mix bag.
Language : Complete the persuasive worksheet given to you yesterday.
This week we finished explanation of Act 5 of Graphic Novel Othello and after that students were given questions from the act and answers were discussed. We also did a Group Chart Making Activity with students on Othello where each group was given a different task. We also asked them to write the answers and submit their notebook on Monday for correction. They are also asked to revise the whole novel Othello at home.
In grammar we did Homographs and the corresponding unit from Workbook was done.

Sneak peek into the week gone by -:
Wonder Novel Study
Students continuedÃ‚Â reading the novel. Some sections could complete reading the part – II ( Via’s narration).Ã‚Â Other sections, will complete reading the part – 2Ã‚Â along with the purpose question next week. During reading, students were asked to annotate the text being read.
This week as part of language activity we conducted a short quiz and dictation of the new vocabulary which students came across during the reading of Part – 1 of this novel.
Book Club -:
Students attended the book club slot in the senior library. StudentsÃ‚Â enjoyed the book circle activity wherein they appreciated their classmate presentation on the book read. After the book circle session, few students has shown the desire to read these books which prove that students are enjoying reading.

This week students continued with the unit ” Atmospheric systems and societies”, they studied about Photochemical smog and Acid deposition. They also discussed about the pollution management strategies for reducing photochemical smog. They watched videos on Photochemical smog and Thermal inversion.

This week we covered all the theories of Glopo and started with the definition and theories of Power.
In this week, we continued with the unit of Molecular Biology, the sub-topic catered was Lipids. Also, we had a session with the school fitness trainer where the students got an idea about Body Mass Index and cleared several myths about nutrition, fitness and diet. They then solved a database question where they applied their analytical and problem solving skills. A unit test based on practical skills was also conducted.
