Language: 

  • Students read a new chapter in EE-The world of animals. The chapter has been explained as well. Answers have been discussed.
  • Read aloud was done.
  • Reading time was given.
  • LWE:Week 12, day 1 was done.

Math:

  1. To the start with the concept of multiplication, the strategy of Grouping and sets was introduced through manipulative.
  2. Math notebook: The Grouping strategy was practiced with students’ involvement.
  3. The students learned the concept of repeated addition/grouping using Ice- tray and beans.

 

 

                                                              Homework

Empowering English- Ch- 13:

Students will complete question no. 2 , 3 and 4in the language notebook.

Question 1 in the EE book itself.

Language notebook: Find the definition of the following words: building,park,family,journey,board. (Find definition from the website: www.dictionary.com)

Day 6

U.O.I

The students noted down the actions they would do for cherishing the things they value.

Math

A revision of the vocabulary relating to fractions was taken. Later, the students performed an activity where they divided 3 rotis amongst 4 friends and illustrated the same on an A4 sheet.

Language

The students were divided into groups to illustrate a given season and brainstorm using a mind map. They presented their work too by the end.

Homework

Math

  1. Find out where do you use or see fraction in real life. ( Note  minimum 5 responses)
  2. Find out the numerator and denominator of the given fraction: 1/6, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6 and 11/12
    Challenge- Illustrate the above given fractions.

Find out the meaning of the following words:

Highlights

Language: Students were divided into groups of 4 and were given a season to illustrate. Later, they wrote a paragraph (6 lines) on the given season using sensory words and similes and presented it in the class.

Homework

Language: Find out the meaning of the following words and frame sentences using any 5 words in the Language EE book:

2. ruins
3. causeway
4. worn
5. hinges
6. battlement
7. clumps
8. cobblestones
9. domes

  • Dictionary skills were introduced through a class activity.
  • Students were given 4 words to find their meanings from dictionary.

L.D:  Week 12, Day 2 has been discussed in class.

Read Aloud was also done of the book “Captain Cat” by Syd Hoff.

Math:

  • The students learned the concept of repeated addition/grouping using tray.

U.O.I:

The students read different articles related to animals and reflected well on their understanding by presenting themselves in groups.

Homework:

Language:

  1. Students have to complete the exercise of Week 12, Day 1 and 2 in their L.W.E books.
  2. They have to complete only one page (Match the collective noun) of the worksheet on Collective Nouns.
