Please send an object beginning with the sound ‘U’ as in ‘umbrella’ tomorrow for show and tell activity. This activity is done to enhance the presentation skills of the kids as they are expected to speak 4 to 5 simple sentences about the object they have brought.

Also, for gp they have an activity which is a bit messy so kindly send an extra tshirt with the kids.

Visible Thinking Routine- Parts, Purpose & Complexity(PPC)

Objective: Machines make the work easier.

Learning outcome: The visible thinking routine- PPC (Parts, Purpose and Complexity) was done in this session of LEAP where the students explored the object ‘bicycle’. They named the parts of the bicycle (various pieces or components). Then they explored the purpose of the each part. The learners also made careful and detailed observations on its complexity; how is it complicated in its part and purposes.

Proceedure: The students were given the cut outs of the parts of the bicycle which were scrambled on the teacher’s table. They had to take the different parts and assemble them and paste it on the A3 sheet given to them. Then they will write down all the parts of the bicycle with the purpose and also write the simple machines used in the bicycle.
