G11 English Highlights of the week
Dear parents,
The SL students are now working on analysing the text A Thousand Splendid Suns based on the excerpts that were given to them. Considering that certain students are new to literature, we are trying to have differentiated classroom so that they could understand better.
For HL, we worked on excerpts from A Thousand Splendid Suns and also looked in detail at the topic History and Evolution of Language.
Student have also been informed that they should begin with their second draft of a creative written task.

G12 French Highlights of the week
Dear parents,
In the last week, we worked on chapter 10 from Panorama Francophone 2. We are planning to finish the remaining two chapters in the first two cycles of January and then begin with a lot of practice for pronunciation, visual stimulus, writing and readings.
Apart from this, with mutually, we have decided that each student will take up one chapter and design an activity to help his / her classmates revise vocabulary. This student will be given 10 minutes in class. This would be after we finish with the syllabus.
Also, next week, we are planning to celebrate Christmas in class. Christmas is a significant festival in France and the idea is to add to their cultural knowledge.
Regards,
Smruti
