Dear parents,

U.O.I:

Summative Assessment task was discussed with the students and the rubric was shared so that the expectations are clarified.

Students read two passages in a group and identified the feeling and mood.

Students learnt the concept of ‘Equivalent fractions’ by using fraction kit.

Homework

Language

Copy the following passage in your Language E.E Notebook and colour- Similes in blue, Sight( Sense of seeing) words in red, smell in yellow, hearing in green touch in purple and taste in orange. Then, ask yourself- Are they happy (positive) or sad (negative) words?

I love to stick my nose into a brown paper bag of mushrooms that has been in the fridge for a day or two. Some smell sweet and milky, others like old socks, the oyster mushrooms I have in my kitchen at the moment are the colour of parchment and smell faintly like antiquarian bookshops.

Math

Practice the concept of ‘Multiples’ from the following link:

http://www.math-play.com/math-magician-multiples-game/math-magician-multiples.html

U.O.I : Students have to collect ‘Artefacts’ which can include items such as newspaper articles, posters, books, pamphlets, photographs or equipment that are related to their traditions, culture, rituals, beliefs and values to put up on the graffiti wall or the culture capsule. Parents, kindly encourage your child to carry these to their classroom as they are a valuable tool in initiating conversations.
