LEAP- Math fact-operation salamander 100

Objectives of this game : To develop mental calculation skills in a fun and easy way and also develop logical reasoning. These games helps in development of their math fact skills as well as strategic thinking and memory skills.

Learning engagement:   Learners are placed in groups of four. One of the players rolls the dices. All the players note the numbers on the dices. Now all the four players use different mathematical operations to get the highest number using the same numbers. They write down all the alternative methods to get the highest number in their notebook. Then they compare and write the scores accordingly as mentioned on the game board.(0 to 20 get 10 points,21 to 50 get 20 and so on)

eg. On rolling the dice they get numbers 4,6,2,5. The learners will use arithmetic operation of addition and multiplication to get the highest number which should not be more than 100. ( 4 x 6 = 24 and 5 x 2 = 10. and 24+10 = 30) He got 30 as an answer. According to the score board, he scores 50 points.

The learners enjoyed this game and applying the learning of multiplication taught in the class.
