U.O.I: 

The students were tuned into the new unit by integrating it with arts where they reflected on their prior knowledge about media and its various elements.

Students have to find at least five synonyms of the word ‘jump’ using ‘Thesaurus’ and frame sentences using any two of them.

Math:

Students have to do as directed in their Math notebook:

i) Find the HCF and LCM of the following:
a) 52 and 64
b) 36 and 48

ii) Simplify the following fractions:

a) 42/56
b) 18/54
c) 28/ 84
d) 21/105

U.O.I : A brainstorming session upon the word- Media was taken in the class, wherein the students shared their current understanding about the word and also shared the reason behind the same.

Language : Students found synonyms of the word ‘eat’ using ‘Thesaurus’ and framed sentences using the same.

Homework:

Math: i) Students have to simplify the following sums in their Math notebook:

a) 34/48
b) 38/86
c) 7/35
d) 56/84
e) 20/58
Challenge: 45/140

UOI: Learners discussed about the things they observed in the previous session and learnt about natural resources and man-made resources.

Language: Learners wrote a narrative on “My special object”

Note: Dictation will be taken tomorrow.

New words: speak, solve, appear, metal, son, either, sleep, village, factors, result, jumped, snow, ride, care and floor

Homework:

Language: Read and comprehend the poem “Daddy fell into the pond ” on page number 72. Also answer the questions given on page no 73 in language notebook.

Math: Solve the given worksheet.

Math: Learners framed survey questionnaire in groups on the given topic.

  • We will conduct a debate in class – topic is  “Borrowing is always a bad thing”. You need to research  on the topic and write points in your notebook.

Learners solved the following sums on the concept of division of decimals.

They also solved few word problems in their Math notebook.

 

  • Julie bought 9 bottles of maple syrup. Each bottle contained 9.2 mls of syrup. How many mls of syrup did Julie buy in total?
  • Tanisha bought a package of 8 chocolate cookies. Each cookie weighed 0.7 grams. How much did the 8 cookies weigh all together?
  • Each plastic bottle holds 8.7 mls of water. How much water can 6 plastic bottles hold?
  • Devang’s dog eats 0.7 kilograms of dog food each day. How much dog food will Devang’s dog eat in 3 days?
  • The monthly rental for an apartment is Rs. 412.18. What will be the rent for an year?

The teacher modeled to make descriptive sentences from a given sentence. The students also, made the same.

Frame minimum 3 descriptive sentences using the following sentence (as done in class):

UOI - A discussion on the things which the students observed during the nature walk was taken.

Language – Learners wrote a writing prompt on the topic ‘Special Object’ keeping the focus skills in mind.

Math – Spot the error and solve was done. The learners enjoyed creating a word problem on the multiplication fact given by the teacher.
