Language

The teacher modeled writing a descriptive passage using the six writing traits and the writing process for the topic sentence ‘The house was quiet’. The teacher modeled Pre-writing and Drafting of the writing process.

Math

Students were introduced to using Ganit Mala for denoting fractions.

Homework

Write a paragraph with six sentences using following sentence starter.

“If I own a store…”
1. Make sure you add the following details– Use adjectives for showing size, shape, sound, taste, smell, color, age, texture, condition, quality and number.
2. Choose atleast 4 products for selling in your store.

Dear Parents,

Grade 1 had their night out on 7th of January, where students came close to the nature, became responsible for themselves and their belongings and enthusiastically had fun with their friends. I am sharing the glimpse of the same with you all.

  1. Make a copy of the document shared with you and rename it with your name. Eg. “Meena_Paragraphing Practice”.
  2. Read the entire document and divide it into paragraphs as we learnt today in the class.
  3. After making paragraphs, you will need to write the key idea of each paragraph below it.
  4. Once done, share the document with your teacher with viewing rights.

U.O.I. The students identified the broad categories under the topic of Types of Media. Later, they connected their ideas to the respective type of media.

Math: Students learned the concepts of comparing fraction through Ganit Mala.

Homework:

UOI- Learners got the opportunity to explore few art forms- dance, drama, few paintings and music. They were asked to gather their thoughts through the reflection tool- Isee, I think, I wonder.

Language- We revised our understanding of paragraphing and key ideas through a new chapter in EE.

Math- We moved ahead and solved few decimal division sums.

HOMEWORK

Language- 1) Bring Dictionary for tomorrow’s session without fail.
2)A link for practicing paragraphing has been shared with you all. Instructions are in the doc itself. Make a copy and do the task.

UOI- Think deeply about today’s session and add points to your sheet.

Dear Parents,

Language: The students conducted a debate in the class for which they were preparing since last 2 slots.

UOI: We did read aloud of the books – ‘Elephant never forget’ and ‘ Stellaluna’ and they compared the two books with respect to character analyses and the L.Ps, skills, and attitudes displayed by two characters, using a H chart.

Homework:

UOI: A worksheet named ‘Things change’ has been shared which needs to be filled and submitted tomorrow

Language: From Page number 72 of empowering English book, Language task c) Idioms of sea and fortune are given which the students have to select any two idioms of sea and 2 idioms of fortune and 1 idiom of their own choice from the list. After selecting, they need to search for the meaning of the same and form their own sentence and write in their Empowering English Notebook.

Group task c, on Page 71 of EE to be done in Language notebook. Use minimum 5 words from the list. Other words that can be included for Group task c) are : Tides, splashed, crashed, cracked, sailed, sinking,
