Dear Parents,

UOI: Today we further had the discussion about the article and we learned about biological changes and how hormones come in to play for bringing about these physical changes which the girls and boys experience during puberty.

Language: We identified the difference between similes, metaphors and personification and wrote similes.

Maths: Today we formed the questions for the survey.

Homework:

Language: From Language with ease book, the students need to parse and punctuate sentence and answer the questions from Week 9 day 4.

UOI: A worksheet titled – What I think about myself, is shared which the students need to mark. The students needs to attempt all questions except question no 10, 17.

Maths: Solve the below sums in your maths notebook.

Students watched two videos on how the hormones bring a change in an adolescent’s body when he/she enters the puberty stage. They learned about menarche, the process of fertilization and menstruation. Also, how the changes are different in a male’s body than a female’s body. They, then, filled a worksheet in order to reflect their understanding about both male and female reproductive system and their functioning.

Language:-

Students read the chapter ‘Two dogs on the moon’ by taking up a particular role to play in their group.

Homework:-

Fill in the worksheets given to you in the classroom.

: Teacher explained the literal as well as the symbolic meaning of the prayer ‘ The lord is my shepherd’

Math

: Learners understood the concept of dividing decimals with decimals and solved few examples.
[Unit Of Inquiry]: Tuning in into Arts unit was done for poetry and fashion designing through I seeÃ‚Â  I think I wonder chart.

Homework

Unit of inquiry : Use relevant vocabulary to appreciate the art forms you have observed till now in an A4 sheet by making 4 parts of that sheet in a creative way.

Language

: Search on internet : poems by Rabindranath Tagore and read a few of them

UOI: Ã‚Â Learners attempted Ã¢â‚¬ËœThings changeÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ worksheet, which was discussed as a class. Later teacher read out a letter Ã¢â‚¬ËœThey Tell Me IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢m Going Through PubertyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢, which helped students understand thatÃ‚Â changes occur in both boys and girls during puberty and it is normal.

Later students were given the article Ã¢â‚¬Å“WhatÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s happening to me?Ã¢â‚¬Â, which they read individually and discussed their thoughts on the same in pairs, after which a class discussion was taken on what is puberty and why do the changes happen. This discussion catered to the line of inquiry Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Different changes that we experience during puberty and the key concept Change.

Then, teacher showed Ã‚Â videos for an overall understanding of puberty in boys and girls,Ã‚Â what are hormones and how hormones work and also how the Reproductive system works. A class discussion was taken on the videos shown keeping in mind the learner profile Open minded and the attitude Respect. Doubts of the students were catered during this discussion.

Language : Learners’ did a reader’s theater for “Two dogs on the Moon”. They also discussed about the author

Language:

• Refer ” A fable of fortune” Language task c) choose 2 idioms of fortune, 2 idioms of sea and 1 idiom of your choice. Look for the meaning of the idioms and form a sentence using each idiom.
• Read the chapter “Two dogs on the moon” and Ã‚Â find the meanings of difficult words. Read the questions given at the back and try to find the answers.

UOI : Complete “Define the terms worksheet” and “Fill in the worksheet”.
