UOI: Discussion of previous dayÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s homework was done in the class. Later, students gave a reflection about a video shown to them regarding natural resources.

Language:Ã‚Â The poem Ã¢â‚¬Å“Travel TimesÃ¢â‚¬Â on page number 47 from Empowering English was done. Question-answers of the poem were discussed with the learners.

Language – Teacher explained that while editing a writing piece we look at the conventions of the piece: grammar, punctuation, capitalization and spelling. Also, we need to ensure that all the points which are important are included. (What is the object? , Why? , Who? , When? and What does it signify? or Why is it so valuable to you?).Then learners rewrote the story(special object).
Travel Times poem was read , explained and questions & answers were discussed.
U O I – Teacher did a read aloud focusing on the TDT and LOIs as well as made connections with the Key concepts while reading the book “Common Ground ” by Molly Bang. Later in groups, students came up with the key concepts connected to the read aloud and justified their choice.
Math – Learners practiced mixed operations word problems .
Language – Answer questions 2, 3, 4 of the poem Travel times from theÃ‚Â Empowering EnglishÃ‚Â reference book in language notebook.
HOMEWORK –
Math – Ã‚Â Revise tables 2 to 12 for dodging tomorrow.
Language – Answer three questions (2, 3 and 4) of travel times from the reference book Empowering English in the language notebook.

Chapter-4 ‘From Wheels to Rocket’ (pg.30.) from the book – Empowering English was read to the students followed by the discussion of Questions and answers about vehicles used today and in earlier times.

Math:

1. The students revised the concept of repeated addition – effective method
2. Formative Assessment was conducted on repeated addition and grouping.

Homework:

Language: To be done in Language note book.

Students have to complete Q1. (Mind mapping) given on page 32 of Empowering English.

Students created a poem titled as ‘The Giant’ by using similes. They compared the size of the main character with that of a sea, desert, metropolis, ocean, planet etc.

Math:-

Students filled a T-chart based on their understandingÃ‚Â about the content which made them know about the interview process and its do’s and don’ts. Furthermore, two role plays were done by the teacher and a student so as to make the learners observe the difference between the etiquettes that were followed, type of questions that were asked and the relevance of the interview to the topic.

Homework:-

1. Complete the language development task as explained in the classroom. (‘I’, ‘You’ (singular) and ‘They’ for the wordÃ‚Â ‘Harras’ for all tenses).
2. Write similes for any 5 objects thatÃ‚Â you tend to use daily.
