Dear Parents,

Here’s what we did:

  1. Students practiced and tried to understand how different kinds of equation is solved.
  2. Students also understood two other methods of solving equations i.e. Solution by inspection and Solution by guess, check and improve.
  3. Students have been given rigorous practice to solve different equations.
  4. Doubts were catered and made clear to them.
  5. H.W. has been given to the students.

Day 2 – Monday.

Language: The Reader “The Magic Faraway Tree” was done in the class.
Math: Learners were tuned into division using monterro cubes.
Homework:
Language: Bring 2-3 advertisements cutting (newspaper/magazines/leaflets) which has the given words like:  improved, new, special, best, advanced, latest, premium, luxury and wonderful. You can also find any other superlatives words similar to the words given above as explained in class.
Math: Learn tables from 2 to 12. 
UOI: Solve the given worksheet.

2. A sheet having sums on increase and decrease of percentage has been shared with you all. Solve the sums and complete the task as per the due date mentioned in the sheet.

3. Complete the worksheet shared with you on your mail for extra practice – Hard level. (Submit by Thursday)

Highlights of the cycle_25th Jan to 2nd Feb. 2017_Physics_G9

Learners presented their presentations on describing how electricity or other useful forms of energy may be obtained from- chemical energy stored in fuel, water, including the energy stored in waves, in tides, and in water behind hydroelectric dams, geothermal resources, nuclear fission, heat and light from the Sun (solar cells and panels) and wind. They discussed the advantages and disadvantages of each method in terms of reliability, scale and environmental impact.

Later, the teacher explained the points to the class which were not included in the presentations.

In COS practical slot they performed practical to investigate the period of a pendulum.

Grade 11_Economics_Field Trip

Grade 11_Economics_Field Trip

Dear Parents,

Grade 11 Economics students will be going for a field trip to textile and Chemical factory – Palsana on 10th February, 2017.

The objective of this trip is to make students aware about how theories work in practical life, how different factors affect decision making, whether the concepts students study is same in real world.

Students will learn about cost of production, economies of scale, advantages of large scale production, short-run and long run costs, fixed and variable costs, revenue and profit and link all of these to different types of market structure and also how is the structure of textile market in Surat.

Please refer to the given details:

Date: 10th Feb, 2017
9:30 am : Student’s will leave from school
2:00 pm : Departure from the factory

Teachers/staff accompanying students for the trip are Parth Jain and Anbu Packiaraj.

Details:Things to carry and taken care of:

School ID card
Students should be in complete school uniform (school T-shirt, full pant and shoes)
Cell phones and other gadgets (including Chromebook) are not allowed, if found it will be confiscated.
Carry healthy dry snacks as per Friday policy. No junk food/items are allowed, if found anything during checking, it will be confiscated.
Carry water bottle.
Lunch will be arranged at the factory.

The following 2 books are missing from the Grade 2 wing. The books are issued in a teacher’s name and are quite expensive. In case, the books are not found, the teacher will have to bear the cost that is coming around Rs. 3000/-.
I request you all to search for the following books at home in case the students have taken them home for reading and send them back to school by tomorrow.
