Highlights of the day – Day 3

Language:

  • An article on ‘Galaxies’ was read and explained in the class. Students were asked to re-read, comprehend and answer the questions related to the same.
  • The students completed the back exercises given at the end of the Chapter No. 6.

Math:

  • Students were explained the property of ‘Zero’ and ‘One’ in the context of multiplication.
  • Students solved a worksheet related to grouping and  multiplication facts.

UOI: How the world works:

  • Students learned about the conditions on earth that support life through a video.

Homework :

  • Language notebook: Students will punctuate the sentences from EE book page no. 56
  • ICT: Practice the following steps to enhance your ICT skills:

(Note: Students can choose any topic of their choice and add the information accordingly)

  1.  Open a new Google slide
  2. Rename the presentation
  3. Give suitable title to the slides
  4.  Write the information about your topic
  5. Duplicate a slide
  6. Delete a slide
  7. Change the theme
  8. Change the layout
  9. Change the background
  10. Share the presentation with the HRT.

Dear Parents,

The following 2 books are missing from the Grade 2 wing. The books are issued in a teacher’s name and are quite expensive. In case, the books are not found, the teacher will have to bear the cost that is coming around Rs. 3000/-.
I request you all to search for the following books at home in case the students have taken them home for reading and send them back to school by tomorrow.

Language: Today, we read a beautiful poem written by Ms.  Sarojini Naidu – ‘ The Bangle Seller’ , from the chapter ‘Ordinary objects, extra-ordinary beauty’ from Empowering English book. We understood the meaning of the verses and we discussed questions at the end of the poem.

UOI: We discussed about self image and peer pressure through an article.

Homework: 

Language:

Write answers to question no. 1 to 12 from page no. 55, Empowering English, in Language notebook.

UOI- Write the answers of the article- ‘Popular demand’ and staple it in UOI notebook.

Note: Share the kahoot quiz with Pooja ma’am, if not done yet.

Get the print outs for Math SA by tomorrow and think the creative way of presentation.

Inquiry : Learners discussed about emotional intelligence and growth mindset. They further learned to deal with emotional changes, their responsibility related to mood swings and once identified the mood they should be in different situation. They learned through below videos and links

Students read the article ‘By popular demand’ by Kathiann M. Kowalski which was about effects of being popular on teenagers. It was linked to the positive and negative effects of peer pressure. Later, they answered some questions based on their reading of the article.

Language:-

Students created a word splash about their understanding of the word ‘Poem’ and consolidated their understanding through classroom discussion. Furthermore, they drew three pictures in separate boxes after listening to two theme musical tracks and wrote a short sentence for each one of them.
