Dear Parents,

Here’s what we did:

  1. Students did exercise sums on Equations. Doubts were catered and made clear to them.
  2. We started with a new topic ‘Constructing and Solving Equation’ wherein students were explained through various examples on board. Also they were thoroughly explained with important notes to keep in mind while solving word problems. Students did few sums for the same in the class.
  3. Formative Assessment in form of Pen and Paper was conducted for the unit – ‘Journey into the unknown’ in the Unit Test Slot on Day 5 (09/02/2017).
  4. Weekend H.W. has been given.

Hello all,

In this cycle, we started with the new unit- Genetics. We started with first sub-unit where we discussed about genes, alleles, chromosomes and DNA. Location of gene was also discussed. Students were then explained about human genome project and the technique for the same was discussed. Mutation and example of disease due to mutation of single nucleotide, sickle cell anaemia was discussed in context with malaria. Then the second sub-unit, chromosomes was started where the difference between prokaryotic and eukaryotic chromosome was discussed.

The following topics has been recently done in DD classes:

  • Students were given time to explore scratch website
  • They created an animation “My First Project” using basic command blocks from Motion, Looks, Sound, control and Events category.
  • They also created “About Me” project describing themselves. They were given sample projects to explore

Homework:

  1. Explore all the commands of Motion and Looks section. Note it down in your scratch Journal
  2. Watch the following videos to revise the basic commands
