Dear Parents,

 

Language Team cordially invites you to Grade 7 “Wonder Exhibition”.

Students have worked collaboratively to showcase the enduring understanding acquired during this novel study.  Students will exhibit their learning from Wonder novel in the form of  Presentation, Games, Quiz and Charts. 
 
This event will give you the opportunity to experience the teaching-learning process that your ward goes through along with a powerful and authentic process for assessing their understanding. For this, parents will be marking their ward based on a criteria rubric that will be explained by Language team members in a session prior to the exhibition. 
Exhibition Date -: 21st February 2017
Venue -: Grade – 7 Wing
Time -: 12:00 – 1:30 pm.
 
Punctuality will be appreciated by way of arriving well in time and leaving the school premises – this will help us in best utilizing your time and that of your ward, who will continue with regular teaching lessons after the exhibition.

Dear Parents and Students,

Glimpse of the week gone by:-

Literature -:

Student performed a Hindi Drama as part of the service component for this unit in the nearby government schools. Students also talked about the theme “Bullying and Acceptance”. Glimpses of this event -:

Students have started analyzing the non-fiction text. Students have completed the following non-fiction text – Maginot line and Trampoline.
Book Club -: Students presented the book read in book circles.

Reminder -: Students need to read seven books as part of the Book Club. Students are encouraged for timely completion of the reading of the books.

  1. The final round of the literary event was conducted.
  2. An article on ‘Galaxies’ was read and explained in the class. Students were asked to re-read, comprehend and answer the questions related to the same.

Homework:

Students have to frame sentences using the given words :

Day 1, Monday.

Math – Learners were introduced to the sign of division and also explained the meaning of it by giving examples.
They also made a story using the math vocabulary of division based on “Carnival visit”.
Homework checking was done.
U O I –  Learners continued with their research work on “Coal” on its management and conservation using articles and Chromebooks under teacher’s guidance.
Read aloud was done in class.

Language:  Advertisement worksheet  for clean and green Surat was given to the students.

ICT: Learners were introduced to an online collaboration tool – Padlet.

Homework: 

Math: Q 1) Solve the following sums:
a) 29,000 – 25,128         b) 16,008 -12,980            c) 32 x 54           d) 873 x 23

Q 2) Solve the following sums:

a) Find the sum of nine thousand and two hundred AND six thousand four hundred and twelve.
