This week we brainstormed on revision strategies students could use at home. I also referred them to a few sites they could use. I have feedback to those who had solved a past paper. Everything was essentially based on what students wanted to revise and their needs.
This week students of grade 9 across the sections solved worksheet on acid-bases and salts and C13 , carbonate chapter was introduced. They learnt the equations involved along with the uses and relevant formula of carbonate compounds. The learning was correlated with real-life situations and supplemented with videos.
This week SL and HL students revised the chapter “redox reactions” through discussions and solving worksheets. They are also shared with chapter wise past paper questions for effective preparation.
Here are the highlights of the week:

[Highlight Of The Day]
UOI: Students examined and identified the manufacturing details i.e. manufactured by, made in, net content, MRP, etc. of the product they have brought and presented the same in front of whole class. Students brainstormed about the activity and jotted down their understanding in the form of keywords on the word wall. Students got more clarity about the keywords ‘product’ and ‘service’ by using dictionary /thesaurus and they prepared Venn diagram for the same to identify the difference between them. Students were introduced to new thinking routine ‘Think-Puzzle-Explore’  where they have reflected their understanding and decided on the topic. Which they will further inquire about in this unit.
Math: Solve the following in your Math notebook:
