Highlights and Homework- 3rd March

Highlights and Homework- 3rd March

PYP Ex : Learners watched a drama on personal memories followed by speech on inventions, discoveries and achievements of India. In the earlier sessions,  learners created life map using their precious pictures which were their personal memories and as part of Drama, their personal memories were snatched along with Kaavya’s memories.

Seeing their life map being taken away, there was quite a chaos. Learners were later informed that their life map will be shredded and recycled, thereby they will never get their precious memories back. This statement received variety of response, right from flood of tears to eruption of anger. One of their major concern was also their parents’ reaction.

The session progressed with the reflection sheet “Let’s Face It” wherein they expressed their emotions and supported the same with comments. We further took up the discussion about connection between Kaavya ma’am personal story/their life map and Speech on India.

Learners, through discussion, derived that “History is to the nation as memory is to the individual.” – Arthur Schlesinger, 2007
