U.O.I:Ã‚Â Students watched the VideoÃ‚Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ng3XHPdexNM and understood the meaning of demand and supply.

Language:Ã‚Â Students were introduced to Ã¢â‚¬ËœTransition wordsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢. Later, they added transition words to a narrative piece given to them with teacherÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s support.

Math:Ã‚Â Students practiced word problems based on real life application of Ã¢â‚¬ËœFractionsÃ¢â‚¬â„¢.

Dear Parents,

PYP Exhibition: Students reflected upon the previous two sessions and made connections with the sayings-Ã‚Â “Without knowledge of past you are a leaf that doesn’t know it is part of a tree.”Ã‚Â – Micheal CrichtonÃ‚Â and came to the conclusionÃ‚Â Memory is to the individual as history is to a society.

Homework:

Language:

Students will change the sentences, in the shared worksheet, Ã‚Â from direct speech to indirect speech and from active voice to passive voice.

UOI: The teacher modeled an activity to identified different roles under goods and service. Later, the students in group bifurcated the activity of Buying/ Baking a cake into goods and services.

Homework:

UOI:Ã‚Â Jot down Goods and Services in your UOI notebook while identifying, noting and bifurcating the answers to the question mentioned below:
* What are the things you did after getting up from bed?
* What items did you use in getting ready?
* What did you eat and what did you use to eat?

HighlightsÃ‚Â

UOI: Ã‚Â Learners recalled the main instances from the drama that was presented by Kavya maÃ¢â‚¬â„¢am about her life journey which included information about her identity, her family members, traditions followed in her family etc. Learners discussed their reflection in Ã¢â‚¬ËœFour RÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ worksheet and also concluded that without knowing about the history of our nation, we cannot acknowledge its importance in the present world.

Learners understood the importance of history through the discussion on videos mentioned below :

Later, teacher wrote few quotes on the board, related to history and why it is important, after which, a class discussion on the same was taken.

Homework:

Language: Complete Weekend home task b) from page 69 Ã‚Â and Weekend home task a) & b) from page 76,Ã‚Â in your LD notebook.

Math: A ratio and proportion worksheet has been shared on your drive. It needs to be solved in your Math notebook, as discussed in class.

UOI: Draw the ‘I see’, ‘I think’, ‘I wonder’table on 2 pages of your PYP exhibition journal, as discussed in the class.

History will never fade. We learn about past and make informed choice now.Real life examples of the events that take took place in the past was discussed so as to make clear connection between the Past ,Present and Ã‚Â Future.

Math:

Learners went out in the open to measure their shadow. They measured their height and further measured a shadow of another taller object. They have one ratio (height of their shadow : their height) and they have a part of another ratio (height of shadow of another object) Learners will attempt to apply their learning to find out the height of the taller object.

Day 3, Monday.

UOI: Discussion on the learning engagements performed for the new unit was done.

Math : Learners practiced 2 by 2Ã‚Â division sums which have remainder. They verified their answers by using the formula ( Dividend = Divisor X Quotient + Remainder). Learners also learnt to solve division sums using multiplication technique.
