Popcorn reading of chapter 19 from The Magic Faraway Tree was done.

Math

Learners practiced to solve the division sums using multiplication technique. ( 2 X 2 digits)

UOI

Learners were tuned in to the new unit. They wrote their questions on wonder wall. Read aloud of the book ” Skeleton” was done.

Homework

Refer the common blog for Hindi and Gujarati homework.

Discussion based on the TDT exploration was done in the class.Following questions guided the students to reflect their understanding.

-Big ideas, Patterns and Connections across all centers, Why is it important to me? What should I learn about to understand this in a better way? Summarize/explain or elaborate what has been learned?

~Whats the connections between Past to Present to Future?

“”History= Past. It is not necessary that only monuments and events have histories, an individual has a history too. ” Students were asked to explain the quote and connections was made to the Life Map , Memories.

Session concluded on the note that there is a close connection between understanding history and culture–when we understand history we understand culture.The way each individual is different each society is also different.

Further , Students were divided into groups of 4 and were asked to explore 5 centers  and observe each center carefully and make connection. Bus stop activity was used.Students were asked to make connection through commonality among the objects shown in the picture and compartmentalize in their notebooks.Responses were taken individually .

A video on What is Culture- Quotes was shown to the students and reflection was taken .

Dear students and parents,

We have started with a new unit ‘khel’ Which we introduced by playing a game in the class.
The game was
The students were devided in two teams. A team member got a word to enact and his other team members recognized the word.It helped to improve their vocabulary.

They were given a worksheet based on questions about a player’s life. They were asked to listen to an audio to answer these questions.

The teacher explained them the rules of a game called Kho- Kho written in Hindi language. Based on this students were given a task in pair to research and present rules of different games such as Ludo,Football, Snakes and ladders, carrom, Hockey, Table Tennis etc.

They also played Kho-Kho in one of the Hindi slot.

Students wrote a creative writing on their favourite player.They were asked to research and write 10 lines about the players childhood, his education, his achievements etc.
