69 students from Fountainhead School participated in the “Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security ” workshop on 18th and 19th February 2017. Students formed a group of 4 to 5 members and competed with other groups to make their way to the final round.Ã‚Â

Harshiv Gajjar, Tanay Tayal, Manthan Tulsiyani and Granth Naik won the third prize in the category “National Level Championship for CS/IT” at IIT Bombay,Ã‚Â on 4th and 5th March 2017.Ã‚Â

Fountainhead School had organized an Inter school Roller speed skating competition on January 28th 2017. Ã‚Â 59 schools were participated for the competition with around 700 participants. Our school won overall championship trophy in Ã‚Â girls category.

Math: Students were introduced to addition of unlike fractions.

UOI: Students watched a video on Needs and Wants afterwards they reflected on their understanding . They interviewed people from ‘Sickbay, Pantry and Store’ to understand the distribution channel of goods and services which they consume at school. Later, they identified the Second line of inquiry of the unit-‘Distribution of goods and services’.

Language: Students read and comprehended chapter 17 Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Uncle, from the reader Ã¢â‚¬Å“CharlotteÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s webÃ¢â‚¬Â. Later, dictation was taken up.

[Homework]

Language: A)Ã‚Â Students have to read Chapter 18 from the reader Ã¢â‚¬ËœCharlotteÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s WebÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ and complete the given worksheet.

Language:

• Dictation was conducted.
• Students read the story Ã¢â‚¬ËœBad companyÃ¢â‚¬Ëœ. They identified the beginning, middle and end of the story and wrote the story in their language notebook under three different headings

Maths:

• Ã‚Â Students revised the tables with the teacher and then solved multiplication word problems using Area model and traditional method.
• Formative assessment of Dodging Tables was conducted.

Homework:

1. Learn and revise the tables from 6 to 9.
2. Math notebook: Solve the following word problems using area method and traditional method(Vertically):

a. Maria has 8 T-shirts and each t-shirt has 12 buttons. How many buttons are there on all the T-shirts?

b. There are 48 toffees in a jar. How many toffees are there in 6 such jars?

3. Students have to type the story ‘Bad Company’ in google document, this will help students improve their typing speed.

1. Students read the story ‘Bad company‘. They identified the beginning, middle and end of the story and wrote the story in their language notebook under three different headings.

2. To enhance the typing skill, the students were provided with an opportunity to type the story ‘The Forest Picnic‘ creating a new Google Document on Drive.

Math:

1. Formative assessment of Dodging of tables was conducted.

2.Ã‚Â Students revised multiplication tables with the teacher and then solvedÃ‚Â multiplicationÃ‚Â word problems using Area model and traditional method.

PYP Ex : Learners reflected about the exploration of the centres from the previous session. They established the connection with transdisciplinary theme Ã¢â‚¬Å“Where we are in place and time.Ã¢â‚¬Â They further understood each aspect of TDT in depth by making connections with each aspects. They explored the quote :Ã‚Â History= Past. It is not necessary that only monuments and events have histories, an individual has a history too.They further derivedÃ‚Â that there is a close connection between understanding history and culture and when we understand history we understand culture.
