UOI:  Where we are in place and time

  • Students were read aloud a story ‘Country mouse and the city mouse’. They could come up with the differences of rural and urban places and impact on individuals. They also differentiated reasons of migration into push and pull factors.

Math:

Students revised multiplication tables with the teacher and then solved multiplication word problems using Area model and traditional method.

Homework:

Math and Language:

Complete the given worksheets.

Important note:

  • Students need to practice dodging on a regular basis at home.
  • Please send a book daily for reading during free time in class. Follow the same at home as well.

Highlights

Language: Students revisited ‘Strong Verbs, Sensory Details, Transition words, Dialogues, Similes, and Adjectives’ through a game ‘Musical review’. Later students independently solved the worksheet where they marked the above criteria using different colours.

Math: Students solved problems on unlike fractions after which the answers were discussed.

Homework

Students need to solve the three worksheets handed to them:

  1. UOI – Lemonade.
  2. Math – Fraction word problems.
  3. Language – Dialogue writing.

The students attended a guest speaker session to understand more about migration unit.

Math:

Students revised the tables with the teacher and then solved multiplication word problems using Area model and traditional method.

Read aloud of “The Little Fox” was done by the teacher.

Homework:

Math and Language: Complete the given worksheet.

Highlights:

U.O.I:

The Inquiry cycle was discussed with the students where they reflected and made connections with the sessions of activating prior knowledge and tuning in through PPT and read aloud. Students also had a gallery walk where they saw various pictures related to migration and the students could come up with a number of reasons behind human migration.

Math:

Students revised multiplication tables with the teacher and then solved multiplication word problems using Area model and traditional method.

Homework:

Math: 

  • Students will solve the given word problems in their math note-book.
  1. 35 apples can be put in one carton. How many apples can be put in 6 such cartons?
  2.  A tray has 24 pastries. How many pastries are there in 5 such trays?
  3. Maria has 8 T-shirts and each t-shirt has 12 buttons. How many buttons are there on all the T-shirts?
  4. There are 48 toffees in a jar. How many toffees are there in 6 such jars?
  • Complete the worksheet provided on Revision of mathematical concepts.
  • Revise multiplication tables.

Language:

  • Complete the worksheet provided on singular & plural number, opposite gender and collective nouns.

Formative assessment of Dodging Tables was conducted.

Language:

The teacher read and explained chapter 9, of EE Book and students framed the 5 ‘W’ and 1 ‘H’ questions and wrote in the language notebook.

Homework:

  1. Complete the given language worksheet.
  2. Complete the given math worksheet.
  3. Read the story given below and frame questions using W-H words (Comprehension strategy- asking questions) in your language notebook.

Dear Parents and students,

ईकाई -५  “खेल” (Sports)के  अंतर्गत  इस सप्ताह श्रवण कौशल  अभ्यास करवाया गया जिसके अन्तर्गत खेल से जुड़ीं बातचीत,खिलाड़ियों से साक्षात्कार ,इसरो(ISRO) से जुड़ी महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी पर ऑडियो सुनाया गया तथा विद्यार्थियों ने दिए गए कार्यपत्रक में उत्तर लिखे । प्रत्येक ऑडियो उन्हें दो बार सुनाया गया था।

इसके अलावा  ” मोतीलाल के दीये ” पाठ पर आधारित एक कार्यपत्रक (worksheet) विद्यार्थियों ने किया  । जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने दिए गए शब्दों के अर्थ लिखे व उनका अपने वाक्यों में प्रयोग किया ।

U.O.I.

The first Line of Inquiry was unveiled with the help of a video on the distribution channel of Coca-cola. Later, they identified the concept for the disclosed line of inquiry.
