Language:

  • Read aloud was done.
  • Students read the story “Rumplestiltskin” and completed the activity given on page no. 73 of Empowering English in the book itself.

UNIT OF INQUIRY: WHERE WE ARE IN PLACE AND TIME

Students were shown a video of a natural disaster, which is one of the reasons for mass migration. Later, they came up with many more reasons for migration and categorized them into push and pull factors.

                                                                                 Homework

  • A worksheet of language has been given which has  to be submitted by Thursday.

Math:

 Students were introduced to “round off” where they learned and practiced to round 2 and 3 Digit numbers to the nearest ten and hundred with this teacher.

Language:

Students read the story “Rumpelstiltskin” and completed the activity given on page no. 73 of Empowering English through a worksheet.

Homework:

Complete the given math worksheet.

Important note:

  • Students need to practice dodging on a regular basis at home.
  • Please send a book daily for reading during free time in class. Follow the same at home as well.

  • Students revised the story elements with the teacher and framed questions alongside reading of the chapter 9 of Empowering English.
  • Students read the story “Rumplestiltskin” and completed the activity given on page no. 73 of Empowering English in the book itself.

Math :

  • Students were introduced to “round off” where they learned and practiced to round 2 and 3 Digit numbers to the nearest ten and hundred with this teacher.
  • Students learned different strategies to do multiplication mentally.

The students will interview their parents/Grandparents/Relatives/ to collect and record information regarding their migration.The questions they are supposed to ask them are:

1) Where were you born?

2) Why did your family shift from the place of your birth? How many places have you stayed till now?

3) What were the different reasons behind shifting to different places?

4) What were the challenges that you have faced because of a change in place?

5) What changes have you undergone to be comfortable in a new place?

6) How has your moving to a new place influenced the place of destination?

Important Note:

  • Kindly send photographs of family members (including the photograph of the family member whom they have interviewed) for the family tree which they will be making in the class through a time line.
  • Students need to practice dodging on a regular basis at home.

LWE- Week 18- Day 1 was discussed and explained to the students.

The students attended mother tongue assembly.
