  1. The students will note down the meanings of the following words in their Language Writing notebook:
    triumph, pompous, management, bearing, extraordinary, infield, fuss, bowed, sundry, phenomenon, supernatural, engraved, dizzy, complimentary, unconscious, modest, praise, applause, distinguished, revived.
  2. Also, they need to read Chapter- 20 The Hour of Triumph from the reader thoroughly.

UOI: Learners visited the science lab and explored skeleton. Later, they also watched video and made connections to all the scientific vocabulary (names of the bones).

The introduction of rounding (rounding is a way of estimating, where one makes a number less precise but easier to work with)was done through various mental math strategies.

UOI: Where we are in place and time

To enhance our understanding of migration, we had our school librarian as a guest speaker. The session helped students to connect with the challenges that one faces during migration and also the reasons behind why people migrate.

Homework:

Math: 

  • Complete the worksheet provided on Revision of mathematical concepts.
  • Revise multiplication tables.

Important note:

  • Students need to practice dodging on a regular basis at home.
  • Please send a book daily for reading during free time in class. Follow the same at home as well.

Math: Solve the following in your Math notebook:

a) A recipe called for 3/12 cup of chopped potatoes and 4/6 cup of mashed potatoes. In total, how many cups of potatoes did the recipe call for?

b) Raj is practicing for his cricket match. He practiced for 3/8 hours on Saturday and 4/12 hours on Sunday. How many hours did he practice over the weekend ?

c)Mary is preparing for her final exam. She studied for 1/4 hours on Saturday and 2/3 hours on Sunday. How many hours did she study over the weekend ?

d) Tina picked 2/5 of a bucket of lemons and Ria picked 3/8 of a bucket of lemons. How many buckets of lemon did they pick in all?

Highlights:

Language: Students revisited the content points such as ‘Strong Verbs, Sensory Details, Transition words, Dialogues, Similes, and Adjectives’ through a game ‘Musical review’. Later, students independently solved the worksheet where they identified the above using different symbols.

U.O.I :  Students were introduced to the distribution channel by sharing the PPT on Parle company.

Homework:

Language: Find the meaning of the following words of Chapter 20 – “Charlotte’s Web”: triumph, pompous, management, bearing, extraordinary, infield, fuss, bowed, sundry, phenomenon, supernatural, engraved, dizzy, complimentary, unconscious, modest, praise, applause, distinguished, revived.

U.O.I.: Solve the given worksheet. Observe the following video and reflect over it. Students can use a flow chart or a graphic organizer or even can illustrate it.
