Dear Parents,

We are organising an Open Meeting of the Parents with the Management – “CONNECT” on 22nd March 2017, Wednesday .

Time – 08:00 AM to 09:30 AM.

Venue – Y-Box (Block 5 – Ground Floor)

Few directions to follow.

(1) You have to be seated by 07:55 am in Y-Box (Venue).
(2) Since it being an Open meeting, you can talk about Education System as a whole,Common / General Academic & Admin Issues.

(3) This is not a platform to raise any child specific issues or any other issues.(Please meet HRT in person for the same with prior appointment)

(4) CAR POOLING is highly appreciated & recommended.

Day 4 Thursday

UOI: Learners visited the science lab and explored a skeleton. Later, they also watched a video and made connections with scientific vocabulary i.e. names of the bones. Then they reflected their learnings of ‘The Skeletal System’ on a paper.


LD : Complete the next 2 days from the LWE book.

Language :

  • Students revised the steps of the writing process with the teacher and the teacher role-modeled the narrative writing following all the steps.

UOI: Where we are in place and time

  • Students revised the personal migration history of the guest speaker with the teacher and made a T Chart by pasting situations given to them on a chart paper  and identified them as pull and push factors.

Homework: Maths

1. My mother bought 58 packs of peanut-butter cups. Each pack has 4 cups. How many cups are there altogether?

2. Mihir wants to buy a toy of Rs.89. If he buys 7 toys, how many rupees he will spend in all?

3.Find the product using the traditional method: a. 60 X 8 b. 99 X9 c. 86 X 4 d. 75 X 6

Important : UOI: Tomorrow is the last day to submit the photograph )

The students will interview their parents/Grandparents/Relatives/ to collect and record information regarding their migration.The questions they are supposed to ask them are:

1) Where were you born?

2) Why did your family shift from the place of your birth? How many places have you stayed till now?

3) What were the different reasons behind shifting to different places?

4) What were the challenges that you have faced because of a change in place?

5) What changes have you undergone to be comfortable in a new place?

6) How has your moving to a new place influenced the place of destination?

Important Note:

  • Kindly send photographs of family members (including the photograph of the family member whom they have interviewed) for the family tree which they will be making in the class through a time line.
  • Students need to practice dodging on a regular basis at home.
  • Please send a book daily for reading during free time in class. Follow the same at home as well.

Students revised the story “Rumplestiltskin” and completed the activity given on page no. 73 of Empowering English in the given worksheet.


Students learned different strategies to do multiplication mentally.


  • Students revised the inquiry cycle with the teacher. 
  • To enhance the understanding on migration, we had a guest speaker session. The session helped students to connect with the challenges that one faces during migration and also the reasons behind why people migrate.

Day 4



Students revisited the content points such as ‘Strong Verbs, Sensory Details, Transition words, Dialogues, Similes, and Adjectives’ through a game ‘Musical review’. Later, students independently solved the worksheet where they identified the above using different symbols.


Students practiced word problems on real life application of unlike fractions.



Students have to solve the following in their Math notebook:

  1. Mary is preparing for her final exam. She studied for 1/4 hours on Saturday and 2/3 hours on Sunday. How many hours did she study over the weekend?
  2. Tina picked 2/5 of a bucket of lemons and Ria picked 3/8 of a bucket of lemons. How many buckets of lemon did they pick in all?
  3. A recipe called for 3/12 cup of chopped potatoes and 4/6 cup of mashed potatoes. In total, how many cups of potatoes did the recipe call for?
  4. Raj is practicing for his cricket match. He practiced for 3/8 hours on Saturday and 4/12 hours on Sunday. How many hours did he practice over the weekend ?
