This week began with an engaging guest lecture by Ms. Subhalxmi Iyer (Head of Language Department). She conducted an introductory session to William Shakespeare. In this session,  an interesting activity was conducted where students were divided into groups and they had to enact the death scenes from famous plays. Additionally, the children also had to predict the character and his/her circumstances leading to death.
The children thoroughly enjoyed it and understood that learning Shakespeare can be fun.  Later in the week, we began understanding Romeo’s monologue from the play “Romeo and Juliet”.  The monologue is explained in detailed to students with relevant real life examples.
