Bus boarding procedure for senior year students @ 4.50 pm route

Dear Parents,

Please take a note of below-given procedure for senior year students for boarding the bus while leaving at 4.50 pm:
  1. Students have to board the bus by 4.48 pm. After that, the bus door will be closed and no student will be allowed to board the bus.
  2. 2 minutes (till 4.50 pm) will be given to students to settle down and fasten their safety belts and conductors will take attendance.
  3. No excuse will be entertained such as- had gone to fill the bottles, etc. students will have to complete this work before boarding the bus @ 4:48 pm.
  4. If any student has missed the bus, parents will be called to pick their ward from the school.

Change in School Meal Break timing

Change in School Meal Break timing

Dear Students,

 

This is to inform you as per your request and mentor teachers feedback, we have made the changes in school meal break timing. Now the school meal break will be from 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm and slot 7 will begin from 2:20 pm.
In case if you have finished eating the food, then you can leave the dining area by 2:10 pm but you have to inform your mentor teachers before leaving. Also note that you will have to reach your respective class by 2:20 pm with necessary resources.
This changes will be applicable from Monday and the changes in FSAPP timetable will be reflected by today.

 

PS- Students are not allowed to go to the ground and play during the School Meal break and you will be monitored by School Staff.

Grade 11 Math HL – Highlights of the week

Dear Parents,

This week students learnt the following important concepts of Differential calculus :

(i) First and second derivative test
(ii) Problems on related rates
(iii) Concept of Optimization
(iv) Applications of differential calculus.

Real life based problems were solved by students in class. 3-4 worksheets were handed over to them so that extra practice can be done at home to master these concepts.

A unit test on Differential Calculus has been scheduled on 20th March,2016.

Dear Parents and students,

इस सप्ताह श्रवण कौशल परीक्षा (Paper-2- Listening )लिया गया  जिसके अन्तर्गत कुछ संक्षिप्त संवाद ,खेल से जुड़ीं बातचीत ,साक्षात्कार  पर ऑडियो सुनाया गया । प्रत्येक ऑडियो उन्हें दो बार सुनाया गया था।

इसके अलावा वाक्य रचना पर आधारित एक कार्यपत्रक विद्यार्थियों ने किया जिसके अन्तर्गत उन्होंने   सरल वाक्यों को मिश्र वाक्य(Complex sentence) में परिवर्तित करना सीखा जो उन्हें सारांश -लेखन (Paraphrasing) लिखने में मदद करेगा ,साथ ही   ” मोतीलाल के दीये ” पाठ पर आधारित एक कार्यपत्रक (worksheet) विद्यार्थियों ने किया  जिसमें उन्होंने  दिए गए कठिन शब्दों के अर्थ लिखे व उनका अपने वाक्यों में प्रयोग किया ।

Reminder to pay 1st Installment for academic year 2017-18

Dear Parents,
A reminder to pay the 1st installment of annual academic fees along with the imprest deposit latest by 5th April 2017 to avoid late payment charges (Rs. 100 per day). You need to pay the fees in HDFC Bank using the bank slip already sent to you through your child/ren. If you have misplaced /not received the slip, you can get it collected from the front desk through your child.
 
In case you are planing to shift your child from Fountainhead to another school for the next academic year (2017-18), then we request you to send an application (Application for School Leaving Certificate) This will help us confirm admission to new students who want to secure admission in this school for the next academic session.

Session on Assessment in the MYP Programme

Dear MYP Parents,

MYP being a new program, we intend to provide all the required support to parents to help you understand the requirements of the program. I am glad to announce that we have planned a session with the parents to explain MYP assessment and grading system. To ensure that we are equipped to analyse students’ performance, it is important that we understand how assessment and grading is done in the MYP. We had also received requests from parents after Term 1 examination for having a session on the above mentioned topic.

Even though the IB has worked hard to improve the clarity of how MYP assessment works, it is not always easy to follow without assistance. However, the ideas underpinning the assessment practices are exciting and innovative. This session will explain in more details how it works and it will be conducted by Middle School Programme Coordinator and / by Team leaders.
Kindly note, this session is compulsory for all the parents to attend. For your ease, we are going to take the session on three different days and in three different time slots. You are requested to book the slot as per your convenience. Each slot will have 45 openings so parents are requested to book their preferable slot at the earliest.

Please note: This session is compulsory for the parents (any one parent can attend). We will withhold Term 2 report in case if any parents fail to attend the session. Kindly book your slot by 21st March. If you fail to book then a slot will be assigned to you from the school.

Greetings,

Dear Parents/Students,

Students of grade-4 are going on with their current unit GAMES experience in which they learned about the importance of goals and how to resolve the conflicts using different strategies, which will help them to implement the learnings in their life as well. Students also focused on the thinking, self-management, social and communication skills during the activity. The students gave their summative assessment task for the GAMES experience. The glimpses of the assessment task (Domino’s) is as follows.

Dear Parents and students,

We have completed with the Gandhian Era which was the last part of our last unit, Indian Struggle from 1857 to 1947 in most of the sections.

We will be starting with the revision of all the units next week. The practice questions are already shared with the students. We will be preparing the students with similar pattern of questions which will be asked in the term 2 exam.

Parents are requested to see that the students revise the answers at home. For any query or doubt please contact the Humanities teachers (of respective sections) through nucleus.
