PYP Ex :  Students were divided into groups and they shared their learning from the Kachchh trip, keeping in mind the main idea of the unit along with the aspects of culture.

Then, in groups, students sorted their understanding on a chart, the 10 things they saw or places they visited during the trip, 7 quotes which they heard from the local people, artisans, guide etc during the trip, 5 ideas which they understood, 3 questions they still have and 1 main idea of the trip. This helped them share their ideas and have a detailed understanding of the places visited at LRK, GRK as well as Ahmedabad.

You need to complete your trip booklet (writing quality reflections in important)

Create a poster/collage/painting/poem showcasing your idea about India’s culture. It can be done on an A4 or A3 sheet.(To be submitted tomorrow) Please note that this should be a quality piece or else you will be required to redo the homework.

UOI: As a part of the unit ‘Economic Activities’, students will be conducting a ‘Business Fair’. Students were briefed about the same. Later, they discussed the products within groups to gauge the demand after conducting the survey and decide their goods/services accordingly.

  1. Anil had 12 Skittles. 2 were yellow, 3 were orange, 4 were red, and 3 were purple. What fraction of his Skittles were yellow? Make sure you reduce fractions to lowest terms.
  2. In Mr. Bose’s class, 1 / 6 of all students have blonde hair, 2 / 6 of all students have brown hair, and 3 / 6 of all students have black hair. What fraction of students have brown hair?
  3. Rahul collects sports cards. He has six baseball cards, three football cards, four hockey cards, and three basketball cards. What fraction of his sports cards are NOT hockey cards? Make sure you reduce the fraction to its lowest terms.

UOI: The students along with the teacher discussed the summative assessment task for the current unit ‘Economic Activities’. Later, they categorized the goods and services they would prefer for the business fair. Finally they were divided into groups and  framed the questions for the survey to be conducted tomorrow.

B)Govind ate 11/12 of a pie, whereas Rohit had 5/7 of a pie. Who ate more and by what fraction?

C) If a LPG gas cylinder contains 3/7 of LPG gas, what part of it is empty?
