PYP Exhibition :-

Learners explored Google drive and Google apps  in order to enhance their ICT skills which will be  required during PYP exhibition.

Students reflected on their learning till date and made personal connections with the aspects of culture. They filled a worksheet and a google form to prioritize their area of interest.

Dear Students & Parents,

This is to inform you all that Summative Assessment of Grade 7 for the Unit: Indian Freedom Struggle ( 1857-1947) has been scheduled on 27 & 28 March (Day-5 & 6 ) respectively. (Section wise teachers have given the dates for their respective classes)

Students are required to make a detailed presentation on the topics allotted to them on a chart paper ( which has been provided) and present the same in the class.

The work/presentation will be judged on the investigation that students have done along with their understanding.

Criterion for this Assessment is B & C- Investigation & Communicating.

SS Open House Details- 29th March

SS Open House Details- 29th March

Dear All,

This is to inform you that Senior School Open House is scheduled on Wednesday (29th March, 2017). Timings for the Open House will be 07:40 am to 9:40 am. Parents are requested to take a prior appointment to meet the teachers. Some subjects teachers want to meet few parents, those parents will receive a call regarding the same before 27th March, 2017. They will be required to come to school for the meeting along with their ward.

For this particular day, Senior school timings will be 10:10 to 04:50. Senior school classes for Grade 7 to Grade 12 will begin from 10:10 for that day. The students who are called for the meeting with the parents will have to come early, and they can go home by the bus route as per regular timings.

Dear Students & Parents,

In India Studies Class in Grade 10, we have started with the Revision of all the Units (based on past years’paper style). 2012 & 2013 papers were revised inclusive of all the four Units.

Next cycle, we are planning to refer and practice for writing Case Study questions.

Students are recommended to revise all the three Case Study for active class participation.

Language:

Students, with the help of the teacher; solved an exercise ‘My big adventure’ given in the book – Language with Ease (page no. 106), where they used adjectives to complete the exercise and then with students’ responses the teacher extended the story.

UOI: Where we are place and time:

Students were shown a documentary on Salva Dut’s story, founder of Water for Sudan. Students could understand how migration impacts on individual, place of origin and place of destination.

Multiplication sums:

25 x 7, 84 x 2, 59 x 5, 90 x 4, 51 x 4

  • Round off the product as explained in the class. (Eg: If the product of 12 x 4 = 48, rounded off no. is 50)

Multiplication word problems:

  1. There are 55 pens in 1 packet. How many pens are there in 4 such packets?
  2. There are 70 balloons in a packet. How many balloons are there in 8 such packets?
  • Students are supposed to write the statements along with the answer statement.

Note: Kindly go through the checked homework and help your child to correct the errors.

Day 3-Highlights and homework of the day!! (23rd March, 2017)

Language:

Students revised all the steps of the Writing Process orally with the teacher. Students did the Pre-writing and drafting (Draft 1) of their own story focussing on all the essential elements of the story. They also revised their work using ARMS strategy.

Math:

Students revised the concept of the traditional method of multiplication and solved the word problems. They also practised multiplication through area model and traditional method of multiplication.

Homework:

Solve the given word problems:

a. We had 6 recycling bins. There were 27 bottles in each. How many bottles did we have?
b. I baked 11 cakes. I put 3 candles on each cake. How many candles did I need?
