Important note

Dear Parents,

Since we are approaching the end of the year. We are in the process of finalising the PYP portfolios. The PYP portfolio depicts the PYP journey of the child. They are retained in school for every child from nursery to Grade 6.  As this is student selected, we seek your help in selecting the best pieces along with your child through Seesaw.

Please find the process below:

1. You have to select one piece each from language, math and UOI. The chosen piece can be from either of the terms.

2. In order to select the piece, kindly comment “PYP portfolio” in the comment section of the chosen piece.

3. Once you do this the HRT will get a notification for each chosen piece.

We request you to complete this process by Wednesday, 5th April, 2017. In case any parent is unable to do the selection by the said date, the respective HRT will complete the selection for that student.

Language: Students wrote a narrative paragraph on “The best day of school” independently, following the writing process.

Math: Students appeared for the Formative Assessment on ‘Fraction – Word Problems’.

Language: Find  3 synonyms for the following words and write in your ‘Language writing’ notebook:

Day 6 Tuesday

Language:  Learners were introduced to Demonstration passage for Discussion. They understood the meaning of Pros and Cons i.e. Advantages and Disadvantages. Later they did a task where they had to jot down the advantages and disadvantages of a few topics.

Math:  Learners discussed 2 Division word problems.

Read chapter 24 from ‘Magic faraway tree’

Math:

Solve the followng word problem:

a) Teacher places 55 books onto shelf. Each shelf holds 9 books. How many shelves does the teacher fill? How many books will remain?

b) Nishka has 28 pencils. She shares them between her 5 friends. How many pencils will each of her friends get? How many pencils will remain with her?

29th March- Open House Details

29th March- Open House Details

Dear All,


This is to inform you that Senior School Open House is scheduled on Wednesday (29th March 2017). Timings for the Open House will be 07:40 am to 9:40 am. Subjects teachers who want to address specific concerns have requested a meeting with selected parents. Those parents have received calendar invite and email (mentioning the subject teacher that the parents are required to meet). They will have to come to school for the meeting along with their ward. Parents who haven’t received the invite, but still want to meet the teachers are requested to take the prior appointment to meet the teachers.

For this particular day, Senior school timings will be 10:10 to 04:50. Classes for Grade 7 to Grade 12 will begin from 11:10 for that day.
