In our first unit of World Religions, we have covered the following topics till now:
- Introduction of the 5 major world religions: Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and Judaism
- Their core beliefs, founder, principles, pilgrimage, festivals.
- Introduction: What is indigenous beliefs? (How indigenous population is different from modern day man? What are some of the challenges facing these people? How is the life style of indigenous people different from modern man? What are the challenges that indigenous people face?)

In our first unit of Colonization the students have learned about the American and African colonization. In that we covered:
1)What is Colonization?
2)Why the countries are colonized?
3)How it all started?
4)What was the impact of colonization on these countries socially, economically, politically?
The students studied about North America and Africa and how they were colonized by England and other European powers. They were introduced to the thirteen colonies of North America and the reasons for which they were colonized. The reasons include the search for precious resources such as gold, to escape religious persecution in Europe, Farming, Trade and Political Freedom.
