U O I  – Students have been tuned into another body system (Respiratory system) through a read aloud/video/ PE engagement.Further in depth discussion of the body system was taken up in the class and student inquiries were resolved.

Learners enjoyed rain dance .

Highlights and homework – Day 3 – July 18th

Language: Learners attempted to skim and scan the article as a class together. They first identified the key words by underlining the words, phrases or sentences. They bracketed the passage based on the common key words. Through the task of bracketing, they practised paragraphing (Introduction, supporting details 1, supporting details 2,….., conclusion) Finally, they concluded the session by writing the summary based on the key words.

Homework: Complete the week 2 day 5 in your language empowering English notebook.

Day 3, Tuesday

Learners enjoyed the Rain Dance.

UOI: Formative assessment of Muscular System was conducted. Students have been tuned into another body system through PE activity. 

Language: Students recited the poem ‘The Best Way to Travel’ by Laura Braden given in the Empowering English Book (Chapter 12) and picked out the similes given in the poem. A shared list of similes used for describing animals was created. Answers to the questions were discussed. Later, formative assessment was conducted.

Day 3

Star of the day: Kaya Bhatia (For working on her goals)

 

Highlights: 

Language: Students wrote an FA through the skills of  creating an anchor chart with main and key idea’s after which students used the skill of “skim and scan” to identify paragraphs and in the end wrote a short summary on the same topic.

Math: Math pre-assessment to gauge the prior knowledge of multiplication was taken up in class where learners had to solve multiplication sums and word problems. HRT gave an instant feedback to the student about the gap and suggestion on an action plan to bridge the gap.

UOI: Learners reflected on the butterfly kit experiments. Discussion was done on the mcq’s in the booklet after which they made connections with the second LOI by posting their thoughts on the interactive wall display. Teacher also jotted down the experiment on the board for a quick revision.

Dog is a domestic animal.He is a loving friend of humans. He guards the house of human whole day. He gives respect to his master.He can smell his master from far off.He is a four-footed animal.Dogs are of many kinds:-Bull dogs,Grey hounds,Blood hounds,lap dogs etc….It has sharp teeth. He has four legs,a tail and straight ears.He is very useful in catching thieves and criminals by its powerful sense of hearing and smelling.Each dog has a different nose print.People love him for its noble service. 

Dogs eat rice, bread, fish, meat and other eatables.The dog is an omnivores animal. They are intelligent and faithful to their master. They can take good training .Intelligent dogs are trained and used by the police or army to smell the traces of criminals and also in investigation work, either indoor or outdoor.

In some of the families a dog is treated as a dear pet and regarded as one of the family members. The small size dogs are tamed and loved as darlings in the family. And the bigger dogs like are strong enough to fight the thieves and robbers.I love dogs very much.
