Math: Students estimated the weight of the objects provided and then weighed the objects using a scale. Later, they solved real life problems ans a worksheet related to  weight.

Highlights and homework – Day 5 – July 20th

Math: Learners attempted the formative assessment for Indian and International number systems.

Language: Learners discussed the key ideas from the passage they read yesterday in the group. They further confirmed the strategy of paragraphing – Underlining key ideas, write them in a mind map, bracket the paragraphs as per the common ideas and write a short summary.

They were further introduced to the new comprehension strategy “Inference” They learned background knowledge + text clues = Inference.

Homework :

1. Write the following in figure: Twenty-three crore thirty-six thousand five hundred and fifty.
2. Write the above number as per International number system – both in figures and words.

Language: A passage is shared with the parents online. (Parents may take out the print of the same or let the student read it on screen) Students have to create the mind map based on the key ideas identified by them from the passage. They are informed to further write a short summary in their language notebook.
