Students appeared for the Formative Assessment on ‘Beginnings and Endings’.
Students were exposed to a new term Diction i.e choice of words that affects the mood of a reader. They were divided into groups and were guided to write the middle and the ending of the activity A of the chapter ‘Same Yet Different’ from Empowering English keeping in mind the tone of the writer.
Students identified the difference between a description and an extra detail through a chapter of Empowering English, ‘Learning with Rowling’.
Math:
Summative assessment task taken in the previous cycle was discussed by the teacher explicitly in the class.
Students were Introduced to the new unit Integers through a number of activities. Terminologies such as number line , the understanding of number line, positive and negative integers were discussed with activities and examples.
UOI:
Students presented their summative assessment task in the class in the form of PPT presentations, Journal writing etc. Students reflected their understanding through end of unit reflection.
