Student Exchange Program

Student Exchange Program

Student Exchange Program

Fountainhead School has been conducting the student exchange program since three years. First two years we did the exchange with Sreenidhi International School, Hyderabad. Last year our exchange partner was Silver Oaks School, Hyderabad.  We are pleased to inform that this year our partner school would be Ajmera Global School, Mumbai.

Purpose:

Student exchanges are intended to increase the participants’ understanding and tolerance of other cultures, as well as improving their language skills and broadening their social horizons.

Experience from last year’s visit:

In 2016-17, 8 students from Grade 5 accompanied by Ms. Evelyn Jones and Ms. Dipti Singhal visited Silver Oaks School, Hyderabad and spent 3 days understanding the school and its culture. They could actually experience the PYP in action and demonstrated all their learning in various ways through assembly presentations, classroom visits and most importantly the environment and best practices of the school.

They had a wonderful time staying with the host families. They were left awestruck by the different language, lifestyle, food, hospitality, and sightseeing and roaming around the beautiful city of Hyderabad after school hours.

Host family

Exchange students live with a host family. A host family volunteers to house a student or two students during their exchange program visit. The family does not receive any payment for hosting. The host families need to be well prepared to provide a new cultural experience to the student. Host families are responsible for providing a stable family environment for the student, and for cultural immersion after school (Spend time with them-sightseeing, dinner etc.).

The details of the program are as follows:

  • Dates for Ajmera Global students and teachers to visit is 12th Nov. to 16th Nov. 2017
  • Dates for our visit to Mumbai is 12th Nov. to 16th Nov. 2017 ( It will be a parallel visit)
  • The cost would approximately be Rs. 5000/- Students are required to fund their own participation for their visit to Mumbai. (The cost may change depending on the number of students finalized for this programme)

You can enroll in the Student Exchange Program only if you are willing to host a student/students from Ajmera Global School, Mumbai. Kindly fill up the Consent Form by 3rd October 2017.

Once your ward’s selection is confirmed by the school’s management, further details will be mailed to you.
