Portfolio:

You are requested to upload your pieces in seesaw as explained in the class. I have rejected many pieces because of the poor quality of the images. Following are the criteria to be kept in mind before uploading the image:
  • Instead of directly putting an image on the seesaw, put it in a doc file. Upload that doc file in seesaw as discussed in class. Comments to be written as captions.
  • Photographs should be vertical, not horizontal.
  • Make sure the image is clear, not blurred. If possible click the photographs using your parent’s cell phone/tab/laptop etc and email it to your student id.
  • No FA/SA/HW shall be selected for portfolio pieces.

Literary event: Students of Grade 4 Valour would like to acknowledge the efforts of Hitarth, Yatna and Arav for giving the remarkable performance.

Math: Learners were introduced to ‘Infograph’ and further, interpreting the same. As part of collecting the data, they were also introduced to etiquettes of conducting an interview through a video: https://www.brainpop.com/search/?keyword=Conducting+an+Interview. They also learned the difference between factual and exploratory and further created factual and exploratory questions for the interview they will take of less privileged children.

Language: Learners practised creating the poem using rhyming words, figurative devices and with proper punctuations.

Homework:

Math: Identify the child you would like to interview and try to gain some background knowledge about the child and conduct the interview (submission after Diwali Vacation)

1. Bring materials for Diya decoration and Rangoli making as per the discussion in class.

2. Bring limited quantity of Indian Traditional food so that wastage of food can be avoided.

3. You may bring Thermocol glasses or paper cups if you are bringing any items to drink.

4. Bring newspapers which will be used as placemats for the Potluck party.

Diwali H.W discussion.

Literary Event was conducted.

Math:

A quick discussion on factual and exploratory questions was done. Later, learners framed few questions.

Life Classes:

Learners filled the Daboo story booklet.

Homework:

Complete the given task.

UOI:

LOI:”Ways in which individuals and organization work to protect children from risks.”

Mention the name of the organizations and also write how do they protect children?

NOTE:

Kindly get board games tomorrow.

For pot luck party please send Indian traditional food items only.

Diwali party guidelines

Dear students,

Kindly take note of the following points related to Diwali party guidelines to abide by in the school:-

  1. All students have to be in proper school uniform. School’s uniform policy is applicable on all academic days of the school.
  2. Since it’s an Indian festival celebration, it is expected that we relish the traditional delicacies/food items on this auspicious occasion.
  3. Ensure that you are bringing the food as per the number of invitees. However, bringing food in excessive quantity or wastage of it is highly discouraged.
  4. Bursting crackers anywhere in the school premises is prohibited due to safety reasons.

In case I have missed something to notify about, I am sure all of us are sensitive enough to understand what’s the right thing to do. Have a happy and safe Diwali 🙂 !

Dear Students,

Portfolio:

You are requested to upload your pieces in the folder shared with you by tomorrow end of the day. I have rejected many pieces because of the poor quality of the images. Following are the criteria to be kept in mind before uploading the image:
  • Instead of directly putting an image on seesaw, put it on the drive in doc file along with the comments and upload the doc. Before uploading the file, convert it into PDF.
  • Photographs should be vertical, not horizontal.
  • For UOI, please upload the images shared by for the “Governance” and “Case Study” for the Conflict.
  • Make sure before uploading your pieces (UOI), you’re supposed to add comments in the “Caption” section.
  • The images that you select must have teacher’s comments written. You can choose to select two images for one piece, showing your work and teacher’s comments. Without teacher’s comments images will be rejected.
  • Make sure the image is clear, not blurred. If possible click the photographs using your parent’s cell phone/tab/laptop etc.
  • No FA/SA/HW shall be selected for portfolio pieces.

Highlights:

The Diwali homework has been handed over to the students. The homework was thoroughly discussed with them in class. They are expected to be doing it independently. Good luck for your ‘Khari Kamai’ task.

 

Homework:

Students to are given an interview worksheet. They are expected to fill the worksheet and conduct interview of two underprivileged children.

Stars of the day: Twishi Ruchandani, Devina Jindal and Kavya Shah( for representing class Responsibility in the literary event today. You all performed outstandingly well. Proud of you!)

Congratulations to Kavya Shah for winning the 3rd position in the Poetry Literary event 2017.
