LEAP Session

LEAP Session

During LEAP session, students played a game ‘Hedbanz’. It is a question game of “What am I?” Students could only ask dichotomous question that has either  “yes” or “no” answer. The questions were asked to figure out if the cartoon on the head is an animal, food or man-made object.

Students took turns to play the game and guess the object.They enjoyed this game a lot which helped to enhance their communication skill.

Math:

Student attempted to compare and contrast a more representative presentation of data from- tally marks/frequency table/ numbers vs charts and graphs. Further, students attended I Do session of creating a double bar graph from the survey data simultaneously making connections to the research skills. Thereafter they made a double bar graph independently post which feedback was given to improvements if needed.

Language:

Students were tuned into the topic “Synonym power” from the Language EE reference book. Later on, they independently found the meaning for the synonyms of the word “Fall.” Later, they attempted to create the sentences using the synonyms. Further, they also attempted to create a descriptive passage for different areas of the school.

Homework:

Math: Attempt interpretation of the graph shared through the Google document.

Reader: Read the chapter 1 of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Khari Kamai: Discuss your plans about your Khari Kamai.

Students practiced the multiplication of 2-digit number by 1-digit number (with regrouping) using Montero cubes in groups.

c) Mohan bought a toy for Rs. 65 and a ball for Rs. 80. How much money did he spend?
